Zach Walters, LCSWA, LCASA is OFFICIALLY trained in Brainspotting Phase 1!

We understand that traditional talk therapy only goes so far. Sustainable, lasting, healing dives deeper. We know this from a neuroscience level and a relationship level. That's why at Woven Wholeness Services, we strive to not simply be therapists trained in Brainspotting, but Brainspotting therapists.

If you're ready to take your journey to deeper depths, we're here to walk the path with you.

Zach's clients tend to be creative adults who are deeply anxious. Their anxiety leads to zoning out, feeling disconnected from themselves and others, dissociation. His own lived experiences combined with an understanding of how the body holds suffering guide his work with clients both in person and virtually in North Carolina.

New blog post available!

For years, you may have told yourself you’re simply an introvert. You feel most at ease on the edges of rooms. There’s a quiet relief when attention passes you by, when a meeting ends without your name being called, when you’re able to observe rather than participate.
There can be a real sense of safety in being the invisible one.
Head to our website to read more.

New blog post available:

Dissociation is often misunderstood as "spacing out" or being "checked out," but it’s actually your nervous system’s way of keeping you safe when things feel like too much.

In his latest blog post, Zach Walter breaks down how Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps us work with these protective parts rather than fighting against them. When we meet our numbness with curiosity instead of frustration, we begin to build the safety needed to come back home to ourselves.

Do you ever feel a wave of guilt when you finally set a boundary? Or a subtle tightening in your chest after a normal conversation?

From the outside, your life looks steady. You’re intelligent, responsible, and high-functioning. But internally, you might be running on old "adaptive strategies" learned long ago.

When emotional needs go unmet in childhood, we learn to:
* Anticipate needs before they are even spoken.
* Earn closeness through competence and achievement.
* Minimize our own emotional impact to keep the peace.

These aren't just personality traits—they are relational adaptations stored in your nervous system. Healing isn't about blaming the past; it's about reclaiming a version of yourself that doesn't have to "perform" to be safe.

Does the holiday season feel less like "joy" and more like a test of your endurance? 🕯️
We often treat rest like a reward we only earn after we burn out. But true healing requires a different approach. In our latest blog post, "The Art of 'No,'" we explore why boundaries and rest are actually acts of self-respect, not selfishness.
Our latest blog post is live on wovenwholeness.com - go take a look.

The holidays can be a beautiful time, but let's be real...they can also be stressful! It helps to remember Maslow's Hierarchy: You can’t reach Self Actualization (Personal Fulfillment) if you haven't mastered the basics!

Here's your holiday check-list, from the bottom of the pyramid up:

1. Physiological: Did you eat a real meal? Have you slept more than 5 hours? Take a break from the marathon shopping/baking. Did you drink water?

2. Safety: Are you traveling safely? Is your wallet secure in that crowded mall? Protect your peace (and your finances!).

3. Belonging: This is the sweet spot! Hug your family, call that old friend, or join a community event. Connection is the real magic.

4. Esteem: Say NO to that extra commitment if it burns you out. Give yourself credit for what you did accomplish. Your worth isn't tied to the perfect party.

5. 🌟 Self-Actualization: Find a moment of genuine joy, creativity, or reflection. What truly matters to you this season? Maybe it's not the gift wrap—it’s the quiet time.

Focus on the foundation first. A well-fed, well-rested, and connected you is the best version of you!
