One of the reasons I created Yes Darling Tea was because I learned the hard way what happens when you pour from an empty cup.

Burnout is real.

And learning to slow down is a journey.

So today, on International Women’s Day, I want to remind every woman reading this…

When I first started talking about starting my tea business, some people doubted me. Some people didn’t understand the vision, and they definitely didn’t understand the why.

But I believed in what God placed on my heart.

Not everyone will understand your purpose while you’re building it. Sometimes they won’t see it until it’s already done.

Keep going anyway.

Protect your dreams. Stay focused. And trust that what’s meant for you will unfold exactly the way it’s supposed to.

I blend the teas.⁠
I pack the orders.⁠
I reply to the emails and DMs.⁠
And my family helps me keep it all going, especially my mom.⁠

Seeing that picture of my mom holding me really got me thinking. I don’t think she could have imagined that little girl would grow up to start her own tea company.⁠

Life had its twists and turns. I became a teen mom, worked in corporate for many years, went back to school, and eventually decided to bet on myself and build something of my own.⁠

Looking at these pictures reminds me how far the journey has been.⁠
