Did you know your breastmilk is literally alive? 💧
Every drop is filled with living cells.. Antibodies, white blood cells, stem cells, and even friendly bacteria are working together to protect and nourish your baby. 🦠✨
When your baby is exposed to germs, your body detects it through their saliva during feeding and adjusts your milk to make the antibodies they need. 🧬💪🏽
That means your milk is changing hour by hour, day by day, to meet your baby’s needs.💛

they won’t remember
how you learned to latch together,
how you cried when it got hard,
how you kept going anyway.

but you will.

you’ll remember the way their hand rested on your chest,
how their breath slowed,
how your body became their calm.

breastfeeding is quiet work
invisible to the world,
unforgettable to you.

in Atlanta! BMMA had the joy of supporting for their Justice Jam & Community Fair in Atlanta, GA, this past June 2025! From community voter registration to an upbeat wellness session and family-friendly fun, the day was all about connection, education, and empowerment.

We shared BMMA’s work in Black Maternal Health, with a focus on our policy initiatives, and had great conversations with community members eager to learn more.

We’re proud to stand alongside organizations building power and wellness at the grassroots. 💪🏾🖤
