This years theme was screening and prevention. We were given the opportunity to get tested for type 1 Diabetes. The Insulin & Mimosas Brunch was honestly beautiful. It wasn’t just an event. It felt like a safe space where people could share real stories and connect.
Not just talking about diabetes, but empowering people living with it.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced it will partially fund SNAP benefits for November after court rulings required the program to continue amid the ongoing government shutdown.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which supports 1 in 8 Americans, typically costs over $8 billion per month. The emergency fund being used has $4.65 billion, enough to cover only about half the normal benefits.

It’s still unclear how much beneficiaries will receive or when funds will appear on their EBT cards. November payments have already been delayed for millions of people.

If the shutdown continues, millions could face the same uncertainty again in December.
