One thing we've been thinking about doing for quite some time is offering a 4 piece set. This set will be stock removal and available for a matching set or individual purchase. I think I've narrowed down the design for these and here it is! 7" chef, 7" nakiri, 5" petty chef and a 3.25" small paring knife. I do plan on offering these is both carbon and stainless steels. Hopefully in the next week I'll have pricing set and the first blades made.

While cleaning the shop I found this guy, almost done. Like any true ADHD 'R I had to stop what I was doing that was far more important and do the finish work.... Anyway, if you act fast you can pick out the handle material. This guy will be $200 with an ambidextrous kydex case with ulticlip. This is 1084 steel that has been glun blued.

I get asked about carbon steel knives a lot, their durability, if they rust etc. This is my personal chef knife in a carbon steel, 80crv2. Its been used daily for close to 3 years and I've never cleaned the patina or removed any rust. The easiest way to take care of one is to clean it with mild dish soap,(i.e. dawn), after each use and dry immediately. This patina is a good thing, it forms a protective barrier and resists rust much better. The handle on this one has been recoated with some wax a time or 2 over the years but is largely the same as new. If you want to restore the finish to like new it is very simple, something like flitz on a soft cloth will remove the patina and be very close to the new look again.

We've been very quiet most of the year. Unfortunately I was dealing with a family medical situation that basically shut me down completely. I am back in the shop starting this week, first completing the overdue orders for some extremely patient and understanding customers. I personally will not be taking many orders this year as I reorganize and upgrade some things in my shop. I do plan on focusing on a semi-production line of kitchen cutlery, upgrading some equipment, and mostly focusing on some improvements to my work. I do plan on some more intricate mosaic Damascus, and new patterns. I should be back to posting updates and works in progress very soon. Thank you all for your patience, I am not excited to see what the rest of the year holds.

*I should note this doesn't mean I won't have available work, I just want to focus on the things I enjoy making and pushing my skillset along the way. I will hopefully have a lot of available blades the remainder of the year, I just won't take orders unless it's something I am super excited about making*
