Wow, just like that and it’s been 1 year and 8 months since I last posted. I missed this space so much! Where I could be creative and let pictures do the speaking.

This past year saw me through much challenges and growth. I am grateful for who I have become along the way. I learnt to be okay to be vulnerable. I also learnt that true self-confidence came from internal work, like preparation and perseverance, and resulted in a quiet, steady, and authentic way of being.

I am thankful for all of you who are still here despite the lack of posting. Wishing all of you a happy Tuesday and the rest of your week ✨

p/s: it’s been some time, so of course I forgot to take a before picture. But I did get a similar before picture online. Scroll all the way for it and let me know if you like the transformation

Here it is! An updated Broyhill sideboard. Look at that arched handle, what made me fell in love with this piece. It’s so unique and gave out the vibe. Rare time that I didn’t consider once to change out the original handle.

Decided to give it a spruce in classic black by , paired it with the gold legs. Guys, take a look at the wallpaper I chose for the interior. I love the floral pattern and might be using it for my own home too!

This piece is available 🌟

Happy New Year, everyone! How’s everyone doing? After an almost 6-month hiatus, I finally got back to working on this passion project of mine - furniture refinishing. Picking the momentum back up is never an easy feat, to say the least. The muscle memory that made things efficient needs to be waken up.

When this piece was completed, I stared at it and thought to myself: I did it! The color choice, hardware and the paint job, everything N12.Studio was all about.

Here’s to a fruitful 2024! ❤️

It’s been a while guys! I truly missed posting and interacting with everyone in this little space. Almost like a sacred space for me to leave behind the multiple roles in real life. I really appreciate everyone who is still here despite the absence of posts recently

Now, let’s talk about this piece. I picked this one up a long while ago from curb side, it sat sadly there ready to go to the dump. I didn’t have much space for it, but decided that I can save it and give it some more life.

Black and gold hardware combination never fail to transform even the shabbiest piece to something classy. I am loving the details portrayed by the addition of burlap fabric. Scroll to the last pic to see the before and let me know what do you guys think ➡️

May - Mental Health Awareness month. Something that I have kept in my heart since I was in my teen years. Growing up with two dear family members who lost their lives to su***de, I mostly chose not to bring up this topic because it hurts deep down. We never know who is suffering in silence, despite they are surrounded by loved ones.

So glad for my refinishing community for standing together to raise awareness and offering support to those who needs it. Proud to stand alongside all of you supporting this cause 💚

Not sure why I waited so long to use this color again. Seriously, this color has become one of my favorite “neutral”. I particularly love it on a mid century regency pieces, accentuate those gorgeous details perfectly.

I contemplated to keep the original hardware for this dresser, but at the same time I wished to give it a modern look. I told myself if I can find matching brass hardware for the top and bottom drawers, I would change them up. I love how it turned out.

With Spring around the corner, sharing a piece that we did recently for a baby nursery. This soft sage green dresser will be going into a cream and pink themed room, breathing a calming freshness into the space. How sweet is that!

Take a look at the before picture and see what huge transformation some texture and a coat of paint can make. I will let pictures speak the words for this piece.

I love when a refinished piece gets to stay back in our home, it reminds me the reason why we started this journey. My husband has been looking for a dresser/cabinet that is low enough to stay under his L-shaped work desk. When I saw this piece was listed on marketplace, I took a chance and hoping it will fit. And yes, it does!

If you are here long enough, you might already know my obsession in hardware. Take a serious look at this brass pull, those lines look like city skyline to me. We have moved multiple countries and cities the last few years, along these changes, what stay constant is our family stay together through thick and thin. The meaning behind why I chose this hardware for this piece.

This piece was sourced very early on in my refinishing journey, hence a painted piece. Like many have said, it’s so much more tedious to refinish a painted piece. I have learnt my fair share of lesson, now I try to steer clear from making over painted piece.

That said, the satisfaction when I see a piece that was on its way to landfill turn into a beautiful swan, will always make me think twice before saying no. The combination of olive green and acrylic hardware is a favorite of mine if you have been here for some time. I knew this combo will uplift this dated looking piece and true enough, it was an instant hit!

First post of 2023! Can’t choose a better piece and color for that. This piece under the natural sunlight screams hope and new beginning to me.

I love this Drexel Compass collection with their original handles. This creamy white/light grey made it look so classy and elegant. The lady who messaged me for this piece said her daughter had been looking for a dresser for a few years and she just loved this on first sight. I am honored, truly when I heard that.

This year, I might be moving on a slower pace, but trust me, the feeling of seeing someone appreciate our work never gets old.
