Why can't we supply care to those addicted to drugs?
If they didn't have to buy their drugs on the street, the street business would dry up swiftly.
Look at what has happened to boot legging whiskey.
It's has all but dried.
And up and cutting it with bleach and all sorts of chemicals has dwindled substancially.
Our hatred and bigotry of those addicted to chemicals are as directly related to the deaths as anything else.
I have never heard an addicted person say a politician asked them what they would do if they didn't have to roam the streets or join with others to acquire the sought after 'medicines'.
No, we steer them to mixtures of Fentyl from the sellers who certainly don't want them to stop buying.
Because of our ignorance, we have blamed all doctors as being the cause of the problem, when nothing is further from the truth.
A few doctors joined with large companies and ignored their training in medical school, let alone residency, and accepted the idea that there is no upper limit of many deadly medicines.
This occurred when huge medical systems took over so much of the financially lucrative parts of medicine. This left so many providers short changed, many of whom were either in financial ruins, or feeling hurt for working tireless hours for a system that finally let them know that they just didn't care. And indeed, there were physicians who needed to be treated for addiction themselves.
Trust me, to properly care for those suffering from drug addiction, one won't make the lots of money. As a matter of fact, there is nothing further from the truth.
Pain specialist are given a little more clout in caring for pain. Unfortunately, the patients pain is too often out of the relms of predictable pain systems. CTs and MRIs are too often a waste of money and of no benefit to anyone other than those who own and control the equipment.
We have a select number of Addiction Specialist. But they are few in number and the specialty is new.
Fo many of the Drug and Addictive medicines programs for which I've spent time and money to participate in, they were led by lawyers, some of whose family had suffered severely from drug use or laws having to deal with drug misuse.
I've never felt accused of things I knew nothing about or had nothing to do with. I would have laughed if I hadn't realized that there was a possible underlying system that might cause me and my colleagues dire harm by accusing us of controlling drug misbehavior and controlling the drug related systems that are causing so much death.
And if you depend simply on the legal system in America, you've got lots to bear and caskets to buy.
No group would send substances across our borders unless they were receiving compensation.
I wonder how anyone can hold and spend the money required by the drug cartels without being caught. Certainly, it's not the street drug hustlers.
We go after the street sellers and spend enormous amounts of money to catch and imprison then This does nothing to relieve even the tiniest part of the problem. It's use as advertisements may help get officials elected, but u t li title else.
So, it seems to me that it would be better to get at the root causes of drug addiction, to treat it properly, and most of all, stop accusing others of being the ones or system that has set this in motion.
And lastly, religion is not the answer.
There are more people sitting in the pews and pulpits that are on, misusing and abusing chemicals than you can shake a stick at.
