At Badass Bands we aim to be a source of empowering women to step up into their highest and most badass selves. 💪🏿💪🏾💪🏽💪🏼💪🏻⁣

We believe BLACK LIVES MF MATTER ✊ ⁣

We stand for everyone fighting systemic racism, racial injustice, police brutality, and actively working to make change happen and STICK!!!!⁣

If you are part of the we are here to remind you your voice matters, it’s never “too late” to gain perspective or take action, to apologize, to listen, to educate yourself 🤍 ⁣

A percentage of earnings of all Badass Bands products will be donated to Black Lives Matter organizations (please comment any that you’d like us to donate to as well) next week from Monday-Sunday June 15-21st as we release the new bands.⁣

We are also teaming up with and leading a Free Fitness Bootcamp where 100% of donations will go directly to organizations in our city Charlotte, NC: ⁣

👉Sanctuary in the City is a “black-led, WOMAN led organization founded with the awareness of the need for accessible, safe, and affirming healing spaces for Black indigenous people of color. Growing and healing from race-based trauma and stress through focus on the whole self, for all BIPOC, is the primary purpose of this organization. Through community programming, grant funding and scholarships, The Sanctuary in The City focuses on equitable access to educational opportunities, access to wellness modalities, fair pay Black and Indigenous wellness practitioners and educators and community healing events.”⁣

👉It Ends Now is “a praise and protest movement to end complacency and bring forth a new season of racial justice and equality through the release of lament, the practice of repentance, and the promise of hope.” As a new group, leaders are working to establish opportunities for support and involvement, including upcoming events.⁣

WHY STRENGTH TRAINING IS BETTER THAN CARDIO FOR FAT LOSS 💪🍑⁣

I used to think… “If I wanna get toned, I’ll do a bunch of cardio & once I lose the weight I’ll lift weights to be toned…”⁣


👉SPOILER ALERT: It doesn’t work… you’ll see some changes when you start but eventually you’ll plateau.⁣

WHY:⁣

1️⃣ Our body’s are smart & energy efficient… they get very good at exercise so the more we do it… the less calories we burn⁣

2️⃣Your metabolism is directly linked to the amount of muscle mass you have (more lean muscle more calories burned daily) If you only do cardio you’re at risk for losing a lot of muscle which can slow your metabolism & lead to a fat rebound⁣

3️⃣Strength Training always produces a greater afterburn than cardio⁣


🚗 Say you’re buying a Range Rover & can’t decide b/w buying at Dealership 1 or 2. ⁣

PRONE LYING ABDUCTION 🍑⁣

Anotha banded b***y exercise for the under b***y! ⁣

1️⃣ Lay face down on a mat / floor with Badass Band above Knees⁣

2️⃣ Place both hands on top of eachother and lay forward down so eyes are looking at the floor.⁣

3️⃣ Lift legs up with your toes pointed and drive the legs out away from your body.⁣

HOW DID THAT FEEL?! ⁣
