My name is Cheryl Andrews, a Ph.D. candidate at Walden University studying Counselor Education and Supervision. To fulfill my degree requirements for my program, I am conducting a new study about the experiences of counselors who work with emerging adults with psychiatric disorders as these individuals attempt to secure competitive employment.

Last week I provided my last counseling session in private practice… I gave my clients a 12 months notice… and on twelve 15, I did it! I retired from counseling in private practice… I’m proud of myself for setting a time to stop and I stopped… I didn’t stop because of burn out, but because I wanted to do so…. I retired in twelve 15…. On to bigger and better phases within the counseling profession!
