Several of our clients are nearing their due dates and have participated in our HandUp parenting education classes to earn cribs, mattresses, swings, changing tables, and pack-n-plays. Because we have so many completing the program at one time, we are in need of these items. If your baby has outgrown any of these items (or other baby furniture) and they are still in good shape, please consider donating them to our new moms. We cannot accept cribs with drop-down sides or used carseats. We are here on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am-5pm at 112 Doctors Park, Lincolnton, or you may call 704-732-3384 to arrange a different time to donate. Note: We will not be able to arrange any additional times for this weekend only (May 19-21). Please share this with your friends and churches. Thank you!

Thank you to Redeemed Baptist for all the work they have been doing around CPC lately. Thanks to them we now have all the names on the puzzle pieces; the curtain is hemmed and hung in the board room; bulletin boards are hung; cords have been encased; light bulbs have been replaced; and the flower beds have been mulched for the spring. Can't tell you what a blessing you all are--thank you and God bless you!!!

Giving God praise for protecting and restoring the health of our director, Paula McSwain, during the stroke she had this past Saturday evening. She has returned to work today, but may not be able to respond to all inquiries as quickly as she has in the past until she can return to she normal full-time schedule. Thank you to everyone who attended our 16th annual spring fundraising banquet this past Thursday evening. Though there were some little glitches, it was a terrific night. Thank you to New Vision Ministries for hosting the event and to Brennan Travis and his crew for the delicious meal. Thank you to Patsy Mosteller and her crew for their help with the tea and serving, along with the youth from Daystar Family Worship Center, Living Word PHC, and Redeemed Baptist. Sisters By Choice ministered in song beautifully. Our client's testimony touched our hearts, reminding us that we are touching the lives of real people. And, of course, the Benhams Brothers were enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to all of our board members and volunteers for their hard work and behind-the-scenes work to bring it all together. Our goal for the evening was $32,600. To date, our total is $20,362. One couple is willing to match five $1,000 donations by June 1st. So, if you'd like to double your investment in Lincoln County lives, please contact Paula to get in on that match.

Okay all you procrastinators (smile)--today is the last day to make your reservations and pay for tickets for Thursday night's 16th annual fundraising banquet. Due to some cancellations, we have about 70 seats left to fill and they are going fast. (Everyone else works off deadlines too!) Tickets are $10 for the delicious meal prepared by Brennan Travis.
