This past weekend, some of our physicians attended the gala in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This event raises funds in support of working towards a cure for cystic fibrosis and providing all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives. We’re honored to help sponsor this foundation and proud of Dr. Chadha and Dr. Collins for working together to raise over $32,500 for the cause.

What are the most common allergy triggers? Here's what our allergists see most often. 🤧

Allergies can be triggered by many substances, but some appear more frequently than others. Common allergens include dust mites, w**d and grass pollen, pet dander, mold, cockroaches, and insect stings.

Food allergies are also widespread, with the top triggers being milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, wheat, and soy. These eight foods account for the majority of food allergic reactions.

If you're experiencing allergy symptoms but aren't sure what's causing them, our board certified allergists can perform comprehensive testing to identify your specific triggers. Get tested and get answers at carolinaasthma.com/allergy/

Meet Courtney Powell! She's joining our team at Concord, University, and Matthews.

Courtney is a Charlotte native who's dedicated her career to respiratory health. After years as a Critical Care Nurse in the Medical ICU at Presbyterian, she became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and spent over 6 years managing acute and chronic pulmonary disease patients at Novant Health.

Her priority? Making sure every patient feels comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. She believes in building real relationships, not just treating symptoms.

Outside the office, she's a busy mom of three who spends most weekends on soccer fields and basketball courts. When she gets a break, she's traveling with family or lost in a good book.
