Yesterday was my interview for the brand video.

People who know me know I’m comfortable talking about my work—but they also know I usually prefer to stay behind the scenes. So, I’ll admit, I was a little nervous going in. Beyond the absolute magic of turning my home into a video set, the experience was delightfully introspective. It pushed me to define what I do, who I do it for, and why I’m different. I boiled down processes, how I work with clients and why it matters to me. Watching myself on playback felt surreal, but good—honest and genuine and gave me a perspective I didn't know I was looking for.

After the “Rising” outdoor campaign introduced .aesthetics to Wilmington, it was time to turn the page. The awareness was there — now we needed to connect on a deeper level. I wanted to remind Wilmington clients that they no longer had to make the drive to Raleigh for their procedures, and to speak to something more personal: the thoughtful, year-long journey many people take before deciding to move forward.

The idea came together in a simple, resonant message: “You’re closer than you think.” It speaks not just to geography, but to the moment when hesitation turns into confidence — when a big decision finally feels within reach.

Built around an infinity loop, the design symbolizes strength and a renewed bond between the partners. At the same time, the loop forms a scale—representing justice at the core of their practice.
