I know it's not su***de awareness month any more but as a therapist every month is su***de awareness months. As I was with a client today (who is high in suicidal ideation and attempts) and she advised me her pastor said to her if she killed herself "she would be selfish". I disagree completely and wish I could have a sit down with this pastor, however it left me wondering what other Christians or Church officials are saying to people who are suicidal. I'm curious if other's have had similar experiences with these officials and their views on su***de. Please share?
