🎶 We were honored to host a Lutheran Services Carolinas Black History Month celebration featuring Sacred Steel music by DaShawn Hickman of DaShawn and Wendy Hickman Music

A 2023 Sacred Steel Hall of Fame inductee from Mount Airy, N.C., DaShawn blends electrifying pedal steel guitar with the soulful vocals of his wife, Wendy, honoring the Pentecostal-Holiness tradition while adding blues and gospel influences.

The celebration also included a presentation on Sacred Steel and the Sacred Steel Music & History Museum by Del Ray Grace, Sr., who—along with his wife Kelli L. Grace—has dedicated his work to preserving this powerful musical tradition as co‑founder of Sacred Strings Records Inc. 🎶
