🌟Fun Fact Friday 🌟
Sealants are a material applied to the chewing surfaces of adult molars to protect them from cavities; usually as they erupt in the mouth around age 6 and 12. Sealants fill in the deep grooves and pits of the tooth to create a barrier that prevents food, plaque, and bacteria from getting stuck. Dr. Graichen will see if you need sealants at your dental check up! 🦷

Fun Fact Friday: putting your toothbrush in a closed wet environment after using it can actually cause more bacteria to grow. Instead, it’s recommended to leave them up right to air dry without touching other surfaces. 🦷 🪥
