OrthoCarolina physicians and co-founders of Axolo Health, Dr. Glenn Gaston and Dr. Bryan Loeffler, took the stage alongside Lulu Gribbin at the Helen Keller Lecture Series held at Troy University to share how innovation is reshaping recovery for amputees.

During the event, the Lulu Strong Foundation awarded its first-ever $100,000 grant to support continued research and development of immersive, virtual reality-based therapy designed to treat phantom limb pain and retrain the brain after limb loss.

Inspired by the legacy of Helen Keller, this work reflects a shared mission: expanding access to innovative care, accelerating recovery, and improving quality of life for patients everywhere.
