Stepping into postpartum has been one of the most beautiful, challenging, humbling seasons of my life. Here are 3 things I’ve learned postpartum that I wish every new mama could hear:

1️⃣ Let go of expectations: If you have this vision of how postpartum is going to be or how your newborn might feed or sleep, etc… it’s probably not going to go exactly to plan.

2️⃣ Practice self-compassion: No, you shouldn’t be “doing more.” Laying around with your baby and bonding/cuddling, healing, etc. is exactly what you should be doing. Leave the chores to someone else if you can!

3️⃣ Having a support team in place was incredibly helpful. From our doula, lactation consultant, pelvic floor PT, and family all helped support me and us during the most vulnerable time. I am beyond grateful to have worked/are still working with these beautiful humans. I wouldn’t mentally and physically be where I am today without them. ( + Angela Granata)

There’s many titles I’m proud of… wife, business owner, sister, daughter. But nothing compares to Mom🥹❤️

The newest member of the Total Wellness team is here, and I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to be her mom.

Motherhood has brought me a new sense of empathy, strength, and gratitude. What a hard, beautiful, and rewarding journey it is.

Forever thankful for the best husband and partner on this journey🫶🏼

✨ Client Update ✨
I am officially on leave until early January, but in the meantime, Chelsey is holding it down in the gym! 💪

Chelsey’s Schedule:
• Monday: 9am-1:30pm, 4-7pm
• Thursday: 4-7:30pm
• Friday: 9am-3:30pm
• Saturday: 8-11am

Small Group Classes:
• Total Body - Monday 6pm
• Glute & Core Focus - Thursday 6pm
• Total Body - Saturday 8am

Chelsey’s schedule is nearly full, but please reach out to see if we can find a spot for you. If not, we highly recommend jumping into our small group classes - open to all fitness levels and a great way to stay consistent!

I’ll be back in January with an open schedule and can’t wait to see you then! 🙌

I can’t believe we’ll be meeting baby so soon! 💞
As I enter the final stretch, here’s how I’m listening to my body and moving in ways that feel supportive right now:

• Strength training: lighter loads, more intention
• Longer rest periods between exercises
• Daily walks: shorter & more frequent (15-20 min, 2-3x/day)
• Birth prep movements: connection breaths, pelvic floor relaxation + lengthening, child’s pose, mini inversions, hip rocks & circles

Movement at this stage is all about preparing, connecting, and honoring what my body needs as we get closer to meeting baby!!

✨ What I’ve been doing to prepare for delivery ✨

• Pelvic floor PT several times a month
• Chiropractic care 2–3x/week
• Hired doula support
• Hired a lactation consultant
• Moving my body when it feels good (walks, Spinning Babies exercises, stretching)
• Cutting back at work
• Asking my husband for 10394673 back rubs 🙃

While I know all of this isn’t necessary, I love feeling informed and supporting my body the best I can. Pregnancy and postpartum are such massive changes, and it gives me so much peace knowing I have the most amazing support team in my corner and feel incredibly grateful to be able to have access to this extra assistance as I prepare for such a big transition! 💛 I’m curious - were any of these also in your delivery prep plans??

Feeling so loved after the sweetest baby shower 🩷 Thank you to our incredible family and friends - it means the world to have your love and support surrounding us. I can’t believe we’re so close to meeting our baby girl!
