The Dumbbell Sn**ch is one of my favorite moves!
It improves balance with the tight core stability needed and helps develop good posture as shoulders roll backwards and the back remains straight and glutes lifted and strong. This move also improves flexibility, coordination, reflexes and reaction time... all key components to a long, physically healthy life!
Exercise is the best medicine!

This is three years ago, at age 51, my 4th show I competed in. By far, this was the best condition I have ever been in my whole life. It was an amazing journey and very self-rewarding.
I am constantly asked if I plan to compete again. I want to, mainly because I love the focus and discipline, and how energetic, young and healthy I feel when I am on a consistent eating and workout plan.
Finding that confidence again to step on stage is currently my biggest challenge.
Maybe I will just follow the whole plan to look and feel great but not actually compete. We’ll see how my 54 year old body responds!😉

Staying motivated in the hot days of summer can be challenging. Being outside in the heat always revitalize me! It’s like a detox. It forces me to drink a lot more water and that hydration along with fresh air and being in nature gives me a natural energy boost. It totally recharges my battery!

Stretching for weight loss?

Although there are more efficient ways to lose weight, stretching daily can also contribute to your weight loss goals.

There are several reason stretching helps you shed some pounds but in a nutshell, your body burns calories with every second you hold a stretch.🙌🏼

When your muscles are working your metabolism rises. Exactly what we need to happen! 🙌🏼Stretching also puts your digestive system into a state of balance and we know good gut health is essential to weight management 🙌🏼

Brain health and mindset are so important too! Stretching’s calming quality contributes to reducing stress and cortisol levels( belly fat) and clears the mind allowing for more positive energy to flow that in turn can help motivate you to enjoy additional forms of exercise!🙌🏼

And, of course, stretching daily helps our bodies maintain flexibility, mobility and range of motion which helps us to continue to enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle for many years to come. 🙌🏼
