Join MHM Race Ambassadors this Sunday Dec 7th to support Girls On the Run at their end of year celebratory 5k!!

We will be volunteering at the water stop and bringing some music to keep the girls motivated and having fun!
Come out with signs to support and cheer on the girls!

💚Mental Health Matters 5k & Festival is all about creating awareness, support, and uplifting the community, all while celebrating running and movement in the process.

👇🏼 Purpose behind the 5K and festival:
💚 We all have mental health and go through times that can challenge it, diagnosis or not.

💚 This race is a reminder everyone has their own "stuff" that their dealing with. You never know what someone is going through, be kind.

💚 We want to foster a community or support, the race serves as a reminder you're not alone, to not feel ashamed to speak up or reach out...because when you do, more often than not..others will say "me too".

💚 Empower the younger generation, know that we can all do hard things and also ask and accept help

💚 There is power in running, movement, and community

💚 Provide the opportunity to explore and talk with different groups and resources

💚 Create awareness, reduce stigma

💚 Celebrate how far you've come

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be kind
Kindness helps improve mental and physical health, strengthening social connections, and creating a more positive community.

It boosts mood and self-esteem, lowers stress and blood pressure by releasing hormones like oxytocin and endorphins

Acts of kindness are contagious and create a ripple effect, encouraging others to be kind and fostering a more supportive and connected society.

You never know what someone is going through, always be kind. It costs nothing but means everything. Spread it far and wide!!
