We talk a lot about taking care of ourselves, but wellness and self-care aren’t quite the same thing.

🌿 Wellness is the big picture…your overall physical, mental, and emotional health. It’s an ongoing lifestyle that includes habits like good sleep, balanced nutrition, movement, stress management, and healthy relationships. Think of wellness as the noun.
💛 Self-care is what you do in the moment to support that bigger picture—like taking a break, journaling, meditating, saying “no,” or enjoying something that recharges you. Think of self-care as the action verb.

Think of wellness as the long-term journey and self-care as the daily steps that help you stay on track. 💫

A lot of people are waiting for Monday to start or even 1/1/26. Just think… if you start today, you will be 45 days of being locked in before 1/1/26! Start small. Keep it simple. Build momentum. It’s about discipline, not motivation.

Are there pounds you said you would lose?

Are there books you promised to read?

Are there trips you said you would take?

You’ve got 48 days to get it done! Don’t adopt the mindset of “I will just wait until January”. You do that every year!

Today (not Monday) is a good day to get started.

✨ Non-Scale Victories Matter ✨

I’ve had a *love-hate relationship* with the scale for years. It’s easy to get caught up in the numbers — up two pounds, down three — and let that dictate how I feel about my body or progress. But the truth is, the scale doesn’t tell the whole story.

It doesn’t measure how much stronger you’ve become.
It doesn’t show how your energy has improved.
It doesn’t capture your confidence, your peace, or how your clothes fit better.

That’s why I’ve learned to celebrate "non-scale victories" — the moments that reflect real, lasting wellness. ✨

Here’s a little encouragement: take pictures of yourself, even if you never post them. Sometimes the changes you can’t see day to day are the most powerful when you look back.
