Free 30-day holistic lifestyle reset challenge:
Day 7

Welcome to day 7

Today we have a journal prompt. Write a page about how you're feeling since you've started the challenge. Are you still on the same path as you were in the beginning, or did you change your goal to something that better fits? How is your yoga practice going do you wish you had more poses by now or is it just right? You can message me here with any comments that would help make this the better experience for you, and help me make this experience better for others in the future.

Today we're going to take a look at self care. Self care looks a lot different to everyone. What you find relaxing and therapeutic in your life may look a lot different from what others find relaxing and therapy in their lives. There is no wrong way to do this. By the end of this 30 day challenge I would like you to have solid self care routine. One question I like to ask myself is if my day was perfect what would the day look like? I like to try to incorporate some of those things that would make my day the perfect day it's my self-care routine. In your journal you can write self care routines for yourself. Recipes that you like and make you feel good. Facial and body Care recipes that are good for your skin. You can also have an arsenal on your computer music that you find changes your mood helps you calm down, makes you happy, or that you just like

Each day of her routine doesn't have to be the same. One day you could sit with a book and some tea and finished that book you've been wanting to finish, and the next day you can do body hair and a facial, and maybe the next day you would like to paint. The possibilities are endless. Just have fun with this and falling back we're taking care of himself.

Please message me with any questions you have about anything in this challenge or email at simpleandsagecs@gmail.com.

Thank you!

Day 6

Welcome to day 6

How are things going? This morning sit for a moment and evaluate your task list. Is it working? Do you need to add or change anything? Are you happy with your progress?

Let's make our yoga practice a daily routine or at least 3 times a week.

Today is also an action day:
Start today in Sukhasana or easy pose. Easy pose is not as easy as the name suggests so if you have trouble sitting flat you can place a blanket, bolster or cushion under your sit bones to raise your torso above your legs. Find a quiet place where you can relax. You can play soft relaxing meditation music if you want to but silence is also fine. Take 5 to 10 minutes in this pose to just sit with your eyes closed.

1. Crown of head reaching toward the sky.
2. Spine long and straight
3. Shoulders back to open chest
4. Hands resting on knees palms up

Next:

Remain seated in Sukhasana and bring your hands into the prayer position. With your hands in prayer position (take a deep breath) and bring your arms up over your head (breath out) ( take another deep breath) and bend at the waist to the left.

If you need to brace yourself you can lower your left hand to the mat to balance yourself. Stay in this position for a slow count of 7. Take another deep breath and repeat on the right side.

Take another deep breath and....

Bring your hands back to the prayer position above your head (breath out) and bring your hands back to prayer position at your chest.

Change the position of your legs and start again. Now you have two positions under your belt and doing these several times a week you will find that you are able to stretch a little deeper as you practice.

* As always if it hurts or doesn't feel good don't do the pose.

As you practice this you may add another set for a deeper stretch.

Let's add some seated forward bends:
Still in Sukhasana reach out in front of you touching your mat with your fingertips. Using your fingertips walk your bend a bit further. Hold your position for the count of 7. Continue walking your fingers out deepening your forward bed until you feel like you have reached your limit then slowly walk your fingers back until you are once again seated in an upright position. Bring your hands to your chest in the prayer position, take a deep breath and let it out. Namaste.

Let's add something good for us to the menu today. You can add a small healthy snack or opt in for a healthy meal. Crunchy garlic and Parmesan roasted chickpeas are my go too quick healthy snack.

The Mediterranean diet is my favorite because l don't view it is a fad diet. I feel what I said lifestyle change. I see research the hundreds and hundreds of healthy Mediterranean recipes you are fine but the Mediterranean diet has something for everyone.

Take some time today to reflect on that you are thankful for. Practicing gratitude helps us retain our positivity which gives us motivation to move forward.

Please message me with any questions you have about anything in this challenge or email at simpleandsagecs@gmail.com.

Thank you!

Day 5

Welcome to day 5

Continue to work on your task list. At this point I would tell you not to worry about time limits for your task list just work through it until you have reached your first short term goal. If you need to add or make changes to your task list you may do so. Follow the same steps while achieving all your short term goals. If you feel like you need target dates to achieve the items in your task list just write the date next to the task, but if you don't finish the task by the assigned date don't worry. Just assign yourself another tearet date for the task.
