SELF CARE.... it’s more then you realize....
Let’s talk food prep...
Part of my life on the regular is food prep (especially because I’m in love with this muffin pan.... and my blue cheese pecan meatloaf... and my tiny humans dig this coconut pineapple oatmeal bake as do my clients) but back to it...
Whether you food prep for simplicity or you do it for a specific health goal, having appealing food ready to heat and eat or grab and go has helped me and the men and women I work one on one with doing customized nutrition programs for, make sure that we fuel ourselves correctly for our INDIVIDUAL body, activity level, DIGESTION, sustainability and goals. We all have different body types, both physically and internally- remember that if you choose a random “coach” for your nutritional needs 😉
Taking care of you, prepping food for yourself or your family is a form of self care! That time in the kitchen is not selfish, it’s vital to your heath.
I think this quarantine has taught many people that they CAN cook
They CAN get a great workout from home.
They CAN survive even when the world is uncertain.
So, enlighten me here with your thoughts... do you view your food prep and physical activity as self care?
Do you ever feel guilty for taking the “time” for a workout or food prep (many women struggle with this).
If you need a nap, do you take it or rely on caffeine?
