Let's be realistic about the holidays: It's really only a few days.

When you step back and look at it, the holiday “season” is mostly made up of regular days, with a few celebration days sprinkled in.

The secret to holiday wellness isn't rigid dieting; it's finding balance. Give yourself grace to savor meals on those special days, and prioritize your consistent health routines on all the days in between.

Don’t stress about the slice of pie.
Or the scoop of mashed potatoes.
Or the cheese board.
Eat the chocolate bark (especially the kind with almonds).

A few moments of indulgence won’t harm your health. But the guilt and stress from constant food policing? That just might.

Welcome to December! 🎉
We’re not aiming for perfection this month, we’re aiming for consistency. Applejack is here to remind you that health isn’t about restrictions; it’s about making smart choices most of the time so you can truly enjoy the moments that matter.

Tip #1: Since Applejack is a delicious red apple himself, kick off the month by celebrating National Eat a Red Apple Day! Enjoy your favorite variety (we won't judge if it's a Red Delicious 😉) for a fiber boost that helps keep you full and energized. Pro Tip: Level up your snack by slicing the apple and adding your favorite nut butter and a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate chips.

Follow us this month for simple tips and strategies to help you build habits that last through the end of the year and into 2026!

Ever wonder what makes a holiday soup feel like a warm hug in a bowl?

It’s not just the ingredients, it’s how you layer them.

🍲 BASE: Mirepoix serves as a traditional base for most soups and stews. Add other flavors, such as garlic, if you'd like.
Select a broth that aligns with your protein of choice [vegetable or animal protein]

🍗 PROTEIN: A protein, like chicken, can be used at the beginning of the cooking process to enrich your broth. Or, you can add precooked during preparation.
Beans and legumes can be added toward the end of cook time to prevent them from getting mushy.

🍠 VEGETABLES: When selecting vegetables for your soup, focus on those that retain their color and shape throughout the cooking process.
Greens are terrific additions, just add closer to the end of cooking time.

🌾 GRAINS: Grains add fiber and bulk to your soup, increasing its satiation rating.
PLUS: Leftover grains make the PERFECT addition to soups and stews.

🌿 GARNISH: Don't overlook garnishing a soup. It can add flavor, brightness, and texture!

Bon appétit! Now you’re ready to serve up a holiday soup for your next get-together. What are you trying first?

🚨 Struggling with energy dips, cravings, or mood swings?
Your blood sugar might be out of balance.

Blood sugar isn’t just about sweets. It’s affected by what you eat, how much, when you eat, stress levels, and even how well you sleep.

🍽️ Skipping meals?
🍬 Eating carbs alone?
😴 Not sleeping well?
These can all cause your blood sugar to swing up and down, and your energy with it.

💡 Did you know? Eating carbs with protein or fat (like apple + peanut butter) helps slow digestion and supports steadier blood sugar.

Swipe through for simple ways to support steady blood sugar all day.
