We don’t talk enough about the battle that comes before the breakthrough.

You’re going to the next level in your career, your relationships, or your personal habits to better your mental and physical health.

There’ll be hell to pay. All at once, Murphy’s Law sets in, and you feel the fatigue, frustration, and weight of heavy obstacles halt you in your tracks.

Count it up as your initiation process, not your defeat. These new levels require more than before. More rest for the journey.

More movement to stabilize your influx of stress, adrenaline, and fear. More insulation of people, activities, and hobbies that pour love, laughter, and belief into you.

I was reminded of this yesterday. And gave myself a dose of a nap during the workweek, getting to bed on time, praying, returning to hot pilates, and sawing the heck out of my Japanese maple tree.
