All the Friday feels for this look. Ever heard the phrase “look good feel good”? That’s what beauty can do. Create a natural, refreshed, well-rested look that changes our outlook and mood.

I want to hit on something else that isn’t commonly discussed in aesthetics. It is one thing to produce great results once the bruising, swelling, and redness have settled. It is quite another to inject mindfully with multiples goals:
1) safety
2) beautiful results
3) MINIMIZING TRAUMA TO THE TISSUE

Admittedly, limiting trauma to the injecting site was not my goal for probably the first 10 years I injected patients. I was too hyper focused on safety and creating beautiful results (not a bad thing).

As I have advanced in my career and injection technique, I have become more aware of injecting with finesse, gentle placement of product and really doing everything in my power to limit bruising and swelling.

This beauty’s results are immediately after cheek and undereye filler. We also added a small amount to her lips. Lips are the most vascular so we expect to see the most swelling here, but also take note of how little redness and swelling she has post injection to her cheeks and undereye.

This is what separates an average injector from someone with decades of experience on a “whole other level”. Sweet compliment from one of my recent patients. Thank you ☺️

These lips were a dream to treat. She has natural, beautiful fullness so we kept her upper lip the same just added border definition and hydration and we added a little plump to the lower to help with proportions and symmetry. The after photos are immediately after injecting. I doubt she will bruise but if she does it may be a dot here or there. They will settle and go down and should be at full results in the next 2 weeks.

There’s a big difference between a regular microneedling treatment versus a medical grade microneedling treatment and I don’t think most people realize this.

A regular microneedling treatment will certainly make your skin glow and help with product pe*******on, but true collagen induction happens between 1.0-1.5mm of depth which is not unless unless you are under medical guidance.
