This Friday (tonight!) there is a “Sweetheart of the Rodeo Dance” in the vintage ballroom of Fry's Spring Beach Club featuring live performances by Ramona and the Holy Smokes & Eliza Thorn and I’ve been invited to offer Tarot readings at the event! This is such an honor and will be so much fun! ✨💖💖✨

Doors at Fry's Spring Beach Club open at 6pm, dance lesson at 6:30pm. Two-step dancing AND divination?? What more could you ask for on Valentine’s Day!?

Readings will be offered on a first come, first serve basis with a waiting list starting at 6pm. Readings are $10 for individual, $15 for couples, and are about 10-15 min in length. Whether you need insight on love or life, I’ll have a few three card readings to choose from.

I love this description of what it means to be a witch, particularly this, “At the heart, to be a witch doesn’t mean that you manipulate reality to your liking. It means that you can see and call forth manifold possibilities. It means that your perception of reality goes beyond what has been handed to you. And that you can perceive the presence of freedom, and healing, in all things.”

Witch is a term as shifting and volatile as mercury. Over time it has been an accusation, a slur, a fear, a story, a fairytale, and a costume. But in the beginning, a witch was someone who was recognized as working with healing. A person who had a direct relationship to the medicine of those things we cannot immediately see.

The etymological roots of the word witch are mixed, murky and a bit mysterious. But some scholars argue that witch can be traced back to the Indo-European world weid – which means both “to see” and “to know.” Traditional healers knew that the way in which we perceive gives shape to our direct experience of reality. If we wish to change our reality, or the concreteness of loss or devastation that we’ve been handed, we must first begin with what we are open to seeing.

And Real Witches see possibility.

They understand that sometimes the most profound healing does not come from the physiology of a specific medicine, but from the life-changing alteration of our core vision and belief. Where there is pain, there could be relief. Where there is death, regeneration can be leased.

At the heart, to be a witch doesn’t mean that you manipulate reality to your liking. It means that you can see and call forth manifold possibilities. It means that your perception of reality goes beyond what has been handed to you. And that you can perceive the presence of freedom, and healing, in all things.

A heads up! A bonfire of the vanities…… Today Mars is at max, at his nearest to the Earth until 2035, exactly halfway through his retrograde in fiery Aries. At the same time, Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio until November 3rd.

Think of Mars as the core energy source of human experience. It’s been 32 years (1988) since the last Mars retrograde in fiery pioneering Aries and it will be 47 years before it happens again in 2067. Mars turned backwards on September 10 at 28° Aries and turns direct on November 14th.

Mars retrograde in Aries powers the final transition, the emotional, psychological and experiential Rite of Passage, to the big Rite of Passage of 2020: Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Aquarius. Mars retrograde represents the work of individuation and of self-actualisation that will make the collective experience in Aquarius more relevant and more easily workable.

In 3D, this used to mean trying to stand out, to be noticed, putting labels on yourself, taking pride in feeling special/spiritual or focusing obsessively on yourself/self-development.

In 5D it means:

leaving behind the roles - all the settling for, the making nice, the barely breathing and calling it a life

seeding your life in the image of what you want to be doing, not based on past assumptions

embodying your maverick spirit, wisdom, gifts and unique qualities

integrating your quirks, idiosyncrasies, weirdness and sore and sensitive spots into what makes you You

finding your unique incubate/create/release rhythm and following it

doing whatever brings you to life

following your own fascinations, obsessions, and compulsions

creating whatever causes a revolution in your heart.

Now is the time to ask deeper questions about your private desires, dreams and goals. It’s a time to re-work, re-template or re-tune projects whilst re-balancing your energy patterns, your drive, your assertiveness.

Make it a priority to redefine how you respond to life's challenges, through a makeover or rebirth of your self-expression in the world. Rather than unconsciously reacting in a fear-based fight-or-flight mode, it’s time to become audacious, brave, instinctual, passionate and focused.

October is going to be a pivotal month- a game changer and crunch point- and it kicks off with a geomagnetic storm………
The Dismantling of the 3D world is now obvious, undeniable and physical. The Evolutionary Burn started years ago at the etheric soul level and, since January 12 2020, is now transforming the physical dimension.

What we are experiencing in our lives, our cells, our guts are the visible outworkings of Pluto’s alchemical burning fields and Saturn’s karmic re-balancing. The passion planet Mars stations retrograde today at 28 Aries and it does so, kicks up impulsivity. It’s like the final jab before a 2-month retreat as Mars retraces its steps and redirects its volatile energy.

That Mars is squaring karmic Saturn suggests endings - whether strategically planned or impulsive - are part of the current redirection of energy. Saturn may provide the reality check, karmic reckoning or the pressure that breaks the final straw. There’s an opportunity to shift gears, especially if something about the current direction just doesn’t feel right. Mars in Aries is especially instinctive and as quickly as the fire of motivation is ignited it can just as quickly be snuffed out.
