I thought I was “healthy”…
I worked out. I stayed active. I tried to eat well 90% of the time.

I didn’t fully understand what was happening at a metabolic level, and how things like blood sugar, inflammation, stress, and muscle mass all play a role in long-term health and disease prevention.

Understanding this changed everything for me after my stage 4 triple negative breast cancer diagnosis.

Because the truth is… most women aren’t lacking effort. We’re lacking knowledge and the right strategy.

The same habits that support:
• fat loss
• energy
• hormone balance

…also support your long-term health and disease processes.

That’s exactly why I created my 28 Day Metabolic Reset— to simplify what actually matters and help you build habits that stick.

No extremes.
No overwhelm.
Just simple, foundational habits that work.

Comment RESET and I’ll send you the details 💛

Let’s build a foundation your body can thrive on.

If you’re using peptides for fat loss, inflammation, mitochondrial health, muscle preservation or anti-cancer potential like I am, consistency matters more than anything.

But here’s something you may not think about When you start stacking peptides (like Tirzepatide, Retatrutide, MOTS-C, SS-31, TA-1, BPC-157, GHK-cu, etc.)…

➡️ Different dosing schedules
➡️ Cycling protocols
➡️ Timing matters
➡️ And missing doses = less effective results

I learned this the hard way trying to track everything in a spreadsheet 😅

I switched to using a peptide tracking app—and it’s been a so much easier for staying consistent and organized and keeping track of what day it is lol.

Within the app you can:
✔️ Track multiple peptides in one place
✔️ Set your dosing + cycles
✔️ Stay on track with your protocol
✔️ No more guesswork
✔️ Keep track of your peptide usage history

If you’re serious about metabolic health, fat loss, anti-aging, or healing at a cellular level, this is one of those tools that just makes your life easier.

The app is called pep.ai. It’s $10/month or $40/year. Save $10 with code: JAMIEV

The mitochondrial peptide I stack right after SS-31 — and why the order matters.

If you saw my SS-31 post, you know I run it for 14 days specifically to prep my mitochondria before starting this one. That’s not optional — it’s part of the protocol.

MOTS-c is encoded in your mitochondrial DNA. Your body naturally produces it, but levels decline significantly with age — and when they drop, you start seeing insulin resistance, metabolic dysfunction, and mitochondrial stress.

It’s also one of the only peptides classified as an exercise mimetic, meaning it activates many of the same cellular pathways that physical exercise does, and it shows significant anti-inflammatory effects across multiple systems.

The research goes further than most people realize — protection against Alzheimer’s, macular degeneration, cardiovascular disease, bacterial infections including MRSA, and improved survival rates in infection and sepsis. And the one I pay close attention to: it helps mitigate chemotherapy-induced side effects.

As a Stage 4 cancer survivor, that matters to me. Keeping inflammation down and supporting my mitochondrial health long-term is central to my protocol — and MOTS-c earns its place in my stack.

The Rhythm at home blood test is a super easy way to get functional lab work done on a regular basis and start to collect data that is imperative to your overall health.

As somebody who has been dealing with a cancer diagnosis for the last year, I’ve had a TON of blood work done. But this test looks at other bio-markers that are not typically explored by traditional doctors. Things like hormones, inflammation markers, organ health, cholesterol, etc. It is one additional tool I am using to monitor my overall wellness and to keep an eye on things as I fight to stay cancer free!

I was dx stage 4 triple negative breast cancer in May 2025- one of the hardest to treat and most aggressively growing types of BC. I had multiple axillary lymph nodes involved and multiple bilateral lung nodules, which were confirmed TNBC with a lung biopsy. So it had already spread by the time we caught it.

I started integrative therapies immediately- I’ve had 21 rounds of chemo, and do lots of natural therapies to support my body metabolically- Essiac, vit C infusions, red light, PEMF, peptides, supplements, nutrition, exercise, mindset, de-stressing, quality sleep…

I did not do immunotherapy, the tumor showed negative for response.

My 3 month scans were almost clean- My lung mets had disappeared, and my lymph nodes looked normal. The breast tumor, which was 8cm at diagnosis, was now “tiny”.

My 6 months scans were fully clear and I was declared NED (no evidence of disease)!

My tumor marker blood test that was previously elevated the whole time, was back to normal range by month 7.

Month 9 scans, clear. Bloodwork still clear.

My doctor still insisted on regular chemo (the standard of care for stage 4), which I resisted, but agreed to a lesser dose and lesser frequency for the time being.

I had requested a liquid biopsy test, one that is very specific and almost 100% accurate at showing remaining circulating tumor dna in your bloodstream- DNA that scans and marker tests don’t always pick up. My doc said “we certainly can, it will just always be positive because you’re stage 4, so you’ll always have cancer cells”.

I pushed for it regardless and she ordered the test.

I got those results back last night. And it shows ZERO.

I have no ctDNA, I have normal tumor markers and nothing is detectable on scans.

My oncologist said “admittedly, I’m not really sure what to do with you” 😂.

I love my morning routine so much, it actually makes me look forward to leaving my cozy bed 😅.

Red Light- boost ATP (cellular energy), enhances the body’s natural repair responses, reduces inflammation, reduces oxidative stress, and improves blood flow.

Vibration plate- increases bone density, improves circulation, aids in muscle recovery, supports lymphatic drainage and detox pathways, if lymph nodes are opened up prior to use.

If you’re exhausted… inflamed… or feel like your body isn’t functioning the way it used to—this might be why…

Your mitochondria are responsible for producing ATP (your body’s energy), regulating inflammation, and supporting nearly every system in your body.

And when they’re damaged?
You feel it as:
• chronic fatigue
• brain fog
• slow recovery
• inflammation
• metabolic dysfunction

👉 Enter SS-31

This is a mitochondrial-targeted peptide that works differently than traditional antioxidants…

Instead of just “fighting” free radicals, it goes straight to the source—helping repair and protect your mitochondria at a cellular level.

Benefits can include:
• increased energy (this is one of the MOST potent peptides for energy)
• reduced oxidative stress + inflammation
• improved memory + cognition
• support for insulin sensitivity + metabolic health
• anti-aging + cellular protection

It’s also being studied for support in:
mitochondrial dysfunction, neurodegenerative conditions, cardiovascular health, and even cancer.

How I use it:
I run SS-31 as a primer before MOTS-C
→ SS-31 repairs + prepares the mitochondria
→ MOTS-C enhances metabolic adaptation

This combo = next level cellular optimization 🔥

If you’re trying to heal, increase energy, or support your body at the root level… this is a powerful place to start.

Day 3 of Peptide Week: The tri-agonist that hits different — and why it’s in my anti-cancer stack.

Semaglutide is a bicycle. Tirzepatide is a sports car. Retatrutide is a rocket ship.

Here’s what that actually means:

Most GLP-1 peptides hit one or two receptors. Retatrutide hits three — making it the most advanced metabolic and weight loss peptide around.

The triple mechanism:
GLP-1 — suppresses appetite
GIP — optimizes insulin action & nutrient processing
Glucagon — turns stored fat into fuel & boosts energy expenditure

That glucagon component is the game changer. It increases thermogenesis, meaning you burn more calories at rest. Carbs are processed more efficiently. Fat is burned more aggressively. And unlike other options, Reta reprograms your metabolism at a systemic level — which is why it helps prevent the rebound that derails most people.

Clinical trials have shown bariatric surgery-level weight loss in obese patients, decreased blood pressure on both numbers, and significant cardiovascular benefits. This is not a diet aid. This is metabolic manipulation — and it doesn’t replace your effort, it amplifies it.

If you’re on Reta: protect your protein, prioritize resistance training, and don’t fear carbs. Reta needs them to fuel your training, preserve muscle, and push nutrients into muscle instead of fat — since it’s already turning the fat to fuel.

Monitor your labs: BP, HR, fasting glucose, HbA1c, liver enzymes, and lean mass over time (Dexa).

Why it’s in my stack as a Stage 4 cancer survivor:

I microdose Reta as an anti-inflammatory tool. Emerging research — specifically in Triple Negative Breast Cancer — shows potential for reduced tumor progression, immune system modulation, and overcoming treatment resistance. The research is ongoing, but I’m not waiting on the sidelines with this one.

⚠️ Not medical advice. Caution if you have a history of certain thyroid cancers.

PS- lab work on any peptide is non-negotiable. Need an easy at-home option? Comment RHYTHM below for a discount on the one I use.
