Today we proudly honored Black History Month with a meaningful and engaging afternoon together.

Residents took part in “Untold Stories”, where we explored lesser-known moments and voices from the Civil Rights Movement—sparking powerful conversations, reflections, and shared memories.

We enjoyed fresh-popped popcorn while watching The Six Triple Eight, the inspiring story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion—the only all-Black, all-female battalion deployed overseas during World War II. Their legacy of perseverance and service made for a moving and memorable experience.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of honoring history, celebrating resilience, and learning together across generations.

What a fantastic day at our Annual Funny Money Auction! 🎉💵

All year long, our residents earn “funny money” by participating in activities, games, events, and all the wonderful moments that make our community so special. Today was their chance to cash in those hard-earned dollars!

From beautiful gift baskets and popular gift cards to delicious lunches, fun décor, and of course… FREE BINGO (a crowd favorite! 😉), the bidding was lively and full of laughs.

We love seeing the excitement, friendly competition, and big smiles as everyone enjoys the rewards of staying active and engaged. Way to go, everyone — you earned it! 👏✨

Today we celebrated the closing ceremonies of our very own Hickory Valley Olympics! Pictured are some of our incredible contenders who competed with determination, laughter, and true Olympic spirit.
