While we do see results with even severe cases of neuropathy, this patient is what I consider an "ideal candidate" for laser treatment- relatively young, otherwise pretty healthy, non-smoker, non-drinker, diabetes fairly well controlled, starting to have some neuropathy pain but hasn't lost much sensation yet. This is when you want to get treatment because usually we can get 100% resolution at this point! As long as he keeps his blood sugar under control, his neuropathy should not return. In only 8 weeks, his quality of life has been drastically improved!

Paul came to us last year after he had developed nerve damage from having a heart surgery. Nothing was helping and he was desperate for relief of the burning and tingling in his chest. We did 7 therapeutic laser treatments over the course of a few weeks and with each treatment he felt more and more relief! By the end, he had no more pain, just a small area of sensitivity that doesn't bother him. A year later and he is still doing great!

Happy Halloween from our little ghouls to yours! Here we have Dr Shelly's sons as a little boy with a big lollipop and some type of warrior guy (I have no idea, he just liked the mask!), Dr Desiree's cute little pumpkin 🎃, Dr Jen's dinosaur 🦕 and unicorn 🦄, and Stephanie's Harry Potter, Jester, and Darth Vader. They look great!

Sometimes you can physically see the results with laser treatment for diabetic neuropathy. While we are technically not treating the skin, we often see less discoloration and wounds healing as we improve circulation. The top pic is this patient's first day of treatment. The bottom pic is after 7 treatments (20 days later). His scabs are healed, the discoloration has faded, and the skin around the discoloration is no longer dusky. He is also reporting less pain and better sensation and feels very optimistic about his results!
