As we start a new week, we want to share how much we truly appreciate our employees.

We recently held an all-staff meeting, and we left feeling deeply encouraged. Hearing our team speak so openly reminded us that our mission isn’t just written — it’s lived and shared.

That’s something every organization hopes for. It tells us how much this work means to our staff, and it shows in how they show up for the patients and families we serve every day.

Here’s some of the most encouraging feedback we received from our team 💙..

We had the privilege of leading our first Healthy Living Program workshop on Anxiety in Adults at the Haverhill Citizen Center for the Spanish-speaking community facilitated by Elizabeth Nolberto.

The session was filled with open conversation, shared experiences, and practical strategies for understanding and managing anxiety all in a safe, culturally responsive space.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve and support community wellness through education. 💙

To our caregivers who showed up during the snowstorm.
Thank you for putting patients first, no matter the conditions.
Your dedication means everything. 💙

You braved the cold, difficult roads, and unexpected challenges to make sure our patients were safe, cared for, and not alone. That dedication does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for your commitment, compassion, and resilience. You are the heart of what we do, and our patients and families are better because of you.

We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. 💙

Why Health Education Matters

“Did you know nearly 6 in 10 U.S. adults live with at least one chronic condition like high blood pressure or diabetes? For older adults, that number can rise as high as 9 in 10.

Education empowers people to take an active role in their health at home and in the community.

At Cross Cultural CareLink, education is part of every visit whether it’s learning how to:
• Understand and manage medications
• Manage chronic conditions
• Prevent complications and hospital readmissions
• Understand what services are available through Medicare

Have questions about home health care? We’re here to help.

Did you know Medicare may cover home health care?

Here’s a simple way to understand how it works:
✔ You must be enrolled in Medicare (Part A or Part B)
✔ A doctor orders home health services
✔ The patient meets the homebound requirement
✔ Skilled, medically necessary care is needed
✔ Care is provided by a Medicare-certified agency

💡 Medicare does not cover personal or custodial care alone.

Cross Cultural CareLink is a Medicare-certified home health agency.

We’re here to help families understand their options.

Around the world, Blue Zones are places where people live longer, healthier lives than average.

In these regions, it’s common for people to reach their 90s or even 100s while experiencing fewer chronic diseases.

💙 Here are six habits we can all learn from the Blue zones for longer and healthier lives.

✨ Move naturally throughout the day
People in Blue Zones stay active through daily life walking, gardening, and household tasks rather than relying only on formal exercise.

✨ Eat mostly plant-based foods
Meals are centered around vegetables, beans, whole grains, and healthy fats, with fewer processed foods. This way of eating is linked to better heart health and lower inflammation.

✨ Practice mindful eating
In Okinawa, people often stop eating when they feel about 80% full, a habit associated with improved metabolic health.

✨ Have a sense of purpose
Having a reason to get up each day supports emotional well-being, reduces stress, and promotes healthier aging.

✨ Stay socially connected
Strong relationships with family, friends, and neighbors help reduce stress and support mental and physical health over time.

✨ Reduce stress naturally
Daily routines like walking, prayer, rest, time outdoors, and unhurried living help keep stress levels low and support long-term health.

Leadership looks different when it’s rooted in faith, family, and service.

Elizabeth was raised in a family grounded in faith. Her father, a minister, showed her that faith is lived through serving others wherever you are placed.

That belief still guides her today. As our Marketing & Chief of Operations, Elizabeth often refers to Cross Cultural CareLink as a ministry. Not because ministry is limited to a church (though she also serves there), but because true ministry is about caring for people in everyday life.

Her journey has taken her through hospital hallways as a respiratory therapist, supporting patients in critical moments. It has also led her into the community building partnerships, leading teams, and serving behind the scenes as a COO.

You’ll often see Ellie out in the field, listening, connecting, and making sure our work reflects care that is human, respectful, and grounded in values.

At the heart of her leadership is family, and a deep responsibility to people and community. Whether in the ICU, emergency room, church, community, or a meeting room, her purpose remains the same:
to serve others with intention, compassion, and faith.

Our leadership sets the tone for how patients are treated, how caregivers are supported, and how families experience care with dignity, accountability, and trust.

America is aging and the shift is happening faster than many realize.

As shown in this data from the U.S. Census Bureau, older adults are projected to outnumber children for the first time in U.S. history by 2034. This demographic change isn’t just about population size; it reflects a growing need for more complex, long-term healthcare.

More than two out of three older adults live with multiple chronic conditions, making consistent, coordinated care essential.

Home health care plays a critical role in meeting this need by supporting safety, independence, and quality of life right where people prefer to receive care: at home. As the nation ages, healthcare must continue to move closer to home.

📌 Follow along this week as we explore healthy aging, home care, and access to services.

Did you know that medical care accounts for only part of our overall health?

Factors like housing, food access, transportation, language, and social connection — known as social determinants of health — play a major role in how people age and heal.

That’s why home-based, culturally grounded care matters. It meets people where they are.

Save & share this post to spread awareness.

Healthy Aging Starts at Home.

The national goals of Healthy People 2030 focus on improving health outcomes by addressing the factors that shape our lives: where we live, how we access care, and the support systems around us.

At Cross Cultural CareLink, these goals show up every day in how we support patients and families at home, where care matters most.

This year, we’re continuing to align our work with what truly improves long-term health.

Recently, one of our patients shared a message with us and it made us pause:

“I miss my family.
All this time I’ve said God isn’t here anymore. He left me.
It took me so long to realize… He is here.
He sent all of you.”

For many of the people we serve, family isn’t always nearby.
Some are far from their loved ones.
Some are aging alone.
Some are navigating illness while missing the comfort of familiar faces.

And for many caregivers, family becomes something you step into — by standing in the gap for someone who would otherwise face illness alone.

At Cross Cultural CareLink, we’re reminded that family can be the people who care for you when you need it most.

In this season, we’re grateful for the families we’re born into and the families we build through care.
