Did you know the baby actually initiates labor❓
It’s true❣️ When a baby’s lungs 🫁 are fully developed, a special protein in the lungs sends a signal to the mother’s body, triggering labor to begin.
Dr. Carole Mendelson, a professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, explains:
“We found that a protein within lung surfactant serves as a hormone of labor that signals to the mother’s uterus when the fetal lungs are sufficiently mature to withstand the critical transition to air breathing.”
🤔 Think about that.
The same God who knit you together in your mother’s womb also created an intricate communication between mother and baby.
👶 Your baby knows when they are ready. Their lungs send a signal to start labor at just the right, divinely appointed time.
Now consider this before saying yes to early induction.
Unless medically necessary, interrupting this God-designed process could mean rushing the miracle of life before its time. God’s timing is perfect, and His design is wise.
Trust the process He created. Trust that your baby and your body were wonderfully made to work together. Patience honors His plan and leads to a healthier beginning.
📖 Scriptures to meditate on while you wait for birth day:
Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews 6:12
But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.
Romans 8:25 (NLT)
