What is WPA Kids?

In this video, our Lead Play Therapist shares the heart behind our program — a space where play is purposeful, children are supported, and growth happens naturally.

At WPA, we believe play is essential. It’s how children process emotions, build confidence, develop social skills, and strengthen the tools they need to thrive — both now and in the future.

Every child deserves a safe space to explore, express, and grow. And every family deserves a supportive community.

✨ We are currently welcoming new families and their children into the WPA Program. ✨

If you’re looking for a nurturing, play-centered environment rooted in intention and care, we would love to connect with you.

Interested? Contact us today for more information on enrollment and availability.
Because when children are supported through play, they flourish. 🌱💛

Play is powerful. At WPA, we believe childhood is meant to be nurtured, explored, and protected.

Our program is built on the understanding that play is not “extra” — it’s essential. Through intentional activities, hands-on learning, social development, and a supportive environment, our children build confidence, communication skills, emotional awareness, and real-world foundations that will carry them for life.

We guide, support, and partner with families to help every child thrive.

Now Accepting New FamiliesIf you’re looking for a program where your child will be seen, supported, and encouraged to grow through meaningful play, we would love to welcome you into the WPA community.

A safe therapy space is more than just a room — it’s a place where children feel understood, respected, and supported. Here’s what truly matters when creating that environment:

Clear Expectations & Structure
Kids feel safest when they know what to expect. Consistent session times, routines, and the same therapist help build trust.

Warm, Child-Friendly Space
Soft seating, sensory tools, books, and play materials help kids feel comfortable enough to open up naturally.

Emotionally Safe Communication
Therapists use gentle, non-judgmental language that reassures kids that their feelings are valid and they can share at their own pace.

Confidentiality Explained Simply
Children should understand that their feelings are respected and protected, in age-appropriate language they can trust.

Respect for Body Autonomy
No forced hugs. No pressure. Kids learn that their boundaries matter—and that “no” is always okay.

Healthy Family Involvement
Parents are guided and supported, but the child’s emotional safety remains at the center of the process.

Creating safety is the foundation of effective therapy. When kids feel seen, heard, and respected, the real healing begins. 💛

Talking to your child about their feelings doesn’t have to be heavy or overwhelming. A gentle conversation often begins with something simple like:

“I noticed you were quiet after school today. Do you want to talk about it?”

This approach keeps things safe and open—no pressure, no judgment. It shows your child that you’re paying attention and you’re there when they’re ready to share.

Helping them put words to their emotions builds trust, confidence, and emotional awareness.

The holidays are magical… but they can also be overwhelming for children. 🎄💭

Changes in routine, loud gatherings, and high emotions can create stress they don’t always know how to express.

Here are a few simple ways to support your child during the holiday season:
- Keep their routines as consistent as possible.
- Build in quiet time between events.
- Talk openly about feelings and expectations.
- Give them space to take breaks.
- Offer comfort and reassurance when emotions are big.

Kids feel holiday stress too — and with a little care and connection, they can feel grounded and supported. 💛

Have you ever noticed your child acting out stories with toys or drawings? That’s their voice.

Through play therapy, children can express what they feel but can’t always put into words — their fears, frustrations, and even their joys.

At WPA Kids, we provide a caring, emotionally safe environment where children are free to explore, communicate, and heal through play. Every session is guided by understanding, empathy, and trust. 💛

If your child has been struggling to express emotions, connect with peers, or manage big feelings, our team is here to help. Learn more about how play therapy can make a difference. 🌿
