Andddd we’re back!

Hey friends, it’s Shacoby, your Socio-Emotional and Behavior Specialist and Founder of Array of Learning Services!

While, we may have taken a break from social media, the work hasn’t stopped.

Since my time away, I officially brought in a beautiful baby boy into the world, became a Level 5 Family Specialist through the Illinois Department of Human Services, and have explored other career passions that will only further enhance services offered here at Array of Learning!

We are proud to announce that we are now offering services to your childcare organization! We want to ensure that every learner has the ability to receive all the learning your institution has to offer, while ensuring that staff continues to receive adequate coaching regarding social emotional and behavior development! The goal for us is to ensure every learner will be ready as they enter into their respective elementary school systems!

Here’s an actual video of the Put In Activity put to use by my toddler.

We used it as a transition activity of waiting for dinner. She can do it several times without getting frustrated or bored. Pay close attention to her fingers. She’s doing a great job at picking them up and putting them in the slot.

She also does an awesome job at reinforcing herself with each chip, so make sure you reinforce your kiddo as well😂

Hey folks!⠀

I had to do a video for class. It was a demonstration video for a Mand. A Mand is simply a request of something.⠀
⠀
In this video you see myself working with Teagan. Now even though the video was used for class, you can do something similar for your early learner to work on using language and to see their preferences of reinforcers (wants) which can be used to motivate to do work or just to practice language skills.⠀
⠀
Try it out. Use language and things in their environment to promote language. Kiddos develop differently so don’t get discouraged if your kiddos isn’t “talking” like their peers. ⠀

Let me give you some insight on what ABA is and how we define what a challenging behavior is.⠀

As clinicians, we focus on behavior and how it relates to the environment. Note that behavior happens in humans and animals alike! ABA is used EVERYWHERE. Just look it up 😉⠀

Hey friends🤗My name is Shacoby S. Tines. Not times but Tines. I am a full time behavior therapist and a graduate candidate completing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Prior to behavior, I earned a bachelors in Psychology from Illinois State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from UIC. I am excited to introduce myself as the CEO of Array of Learning Services, a budding, non-profit organization in the Chicagoland area!⠀⠀

Array of Learning Services aims to create change by providing socio-emotional and behavior services to individuals with developmental disabilities who may not otherwise have access to these resources due to socio-economic status, demographic area, or other pervasive variables beyond the control of the individual.⠀⠀
