28 month post treatment scans CLEAR!! 🙏🏼 Thank you for keeing our girl in your prayers, they definitely pulled through! She did amazing and it was such a smooth, pleasant day.

🙌🏻 She was officially released from the spine specialist last month..and shes thrilled to take one doctor off her list 🎉
🙌🏻 We also had her annual follow up with her opthamologist that specializes in pediatrics who have had head/neck radiation and everything is still “perfect” as far as her eyes
🙌🏻 Casey had his testing r/t his and Millies genetic mutation, and there was no indication of lynch syndrome which is great news for everyone!
🙌🏻 Follow up scans of her thyroid last month did not meet size criteria for biopsy, so they are monitoring closely (will do another thyroid US with her next routine scans in 4 months). Of course we wish those pesky nodules werent there at all, but it’s still good news.
🙌🏻 AND one of my favorite blessings of the year, updating that school pic!!! ❤️

Scan day for Miss Millie Rae tomorrow, if you can keep her in your prayers. Thought I’d take a moment to share a glimpse of what she’s been up to the last few months, doing amazing as ever and enjoying life to its fullest as always 🥰

✅ Golf shores vaca
✅ Practicing for her cowgirl debut with grandma
✅ Youth football & cheer Super Bowl Champs
✅ Halloween shenanigans with her some of her besties
✅ Preparing for her first season of travel softball
✅ Still going strong with gymnastis and dance
✅ Wrestling season started this week
✅ Still LOVES matching with momma
✅ Making tons of priceless memories with family and friends

2 YEARS CANCER FREE🎗️🎉

Millie’s 2 year scans looked overall amazing, she does have those pesky thyroid nodules which appeared just a hair larger this time, but nothing to ruffle any feathers.. so we will be following up with endocrinology soon to be safe but we suspect just something we will keep watching. She gets to stretch out her routine scans a bit to every 4 months for the next year, which needless to say she is pretty excited about!

She has been doing absolutely amazing, living her best life as alway! She’s just out here blowing our minds every day with her constant resilience, strength, wit & determination, exhausts me and Dad most days to be honest, but we low key love every second of it 😅

Our girl is STATE bound in the morning!! She is and always will be our champion in every single meaning of the word. We are so proud and excited for her to get this experience along side both of her brothers, who are constantly making sure she stays tough as nails! ☺️

But what really blows my mind is to fathom these are the same kid, roughly 2 years apart…Then I remember, she’s here to serve as a testimony of the good lords work. What I continuously pray(ed) for throughout her darkest days. In everything she does, she is living proof that while we can’t always run from the bad days, we do in fact have full control of the mark they leave! Absolutely nothing dims this warriors smile or her fire. She’s my hero 🥲 she’s completely changed my view of life in the most freeing ways, and I feel blessed to get to share even just a glimpse of these blessings with so many of you ❤️

Thought Millie’s Militia might enjoy watching your girl win the 67 # girls wrestling regional Championship 🤩.. she was down 9-1 up until the last 20 seconds of the match and finally unleashed.. and her fan crowd on the floor infront at the end.. the best!😍

My pep talk before this match went something like .. “girl I have seen on multiple occasions where it took 4+ grown adults grasping every limb with full effort to hold you down.. you got this one little girl, I promise!!” 😜

We made a well deserved little Hobby Lobby pit stop on the way home so she could pick out a something for her bedroom… meet Mildred the “preppy” cow.. iykyk 😂

Your girl is 15 months CANCER FREE!!! 🙌🏻
As Millie and I were waiting for her MRI she told me “I feel good about today” .. and she wasn’t lying! I don’t know if most of you will understand how huge and emotional this is, but I know at least some of you will… today was the first time EVER (out of 100+ IV/port accesses!) that I didn’t have to restrain my baby to do what needed to be done. She was so incredibly brave, and apparently very motivated to get those name brand Uggs (I am not above bargaining, just embarrassed to say it took me 2.5 years to figure out her weakness, she ain’t easy!) 😅 All jokes aside, my momma heart needed that today ❤️

We also made a trip to Chicago Monday to see her spine specialist for her 6 month follow up.. one of her spine fractures has healed, the other one is struggling, but is stable and not causing her any issues at all. Her doctor is overall very pleased, but has some concern that the chemo & chest radiation Millie underwent may have compromised her bone health which is delaying her healing & may put her at future increased risk for injuries. So we will head back Wednesday to get a complete bone health evaluation including labs and a DEXA scan to see if she needs to be on special medication to strengthen her bones. While we arnt super ecstatic to be adding another specialist & more appointments to our list, we are so thankful for Millie’s entire team of angels on earth and know she is in the BEST of hands with a team determined to make sure nothing (even long term treatment effects) keeps Millie from living her best life 🙏🏼
