❗️Deadlift Warmup❗️

🏋️ Do you feel like your hamstrings are too tight or limiting your deadlift?

🧠 Contrary to what most of us think, you probably don’t have true muscle tightness and instead are likely experiencing neural tension.

🙆🏽‍♀️ What is neural tension? It’s a term basically used to describe a phenomenon where the peripheral nerves in your body aren’t sliding and gliding through your tissues optimally.

🎓 ((There are tests your PT can do to assess neural tension, but the point of this video is a dynamic stretch routine before deadlifting))

🗯Passive stretching isn’t the best way to improve these symptoms of tightness, and in fact, can sometimes make them worse!

🌀In this video I demonstrate 3 dynamic stretches which can prime your nervous system and improve mobility (aka improve your nervous systems tolerance to load, which can help you move further before a pain signal gets sent off)

💃🏽 Another video making light on a topic that I REALLY care about because it’s really important!

💥Have you ever or are you currently rehabbing an injury, or trying to make gains in your workout but there’s been minimal progress?

👉🏽 Sleep, stress and diet are LARGELY tied in with illness, injury and recovery. Sleep is a big one and there is a lot of research to back this up.

🏃🏽‍♀️ Muscles and tissues repair and rejuvenate as we sleep, so if you’re not getting enough rest each night, it’s going to be harder for your body to bounce back from an injury. If you really want to get better, you need to give your body time to heal!
