Honored and grateful 💙

Thank you to We Made Chi 206 for recognizing and honoring our founder for advancing mental health in Chicago through Mental Health Meets Hip-Hop (MHMHH). This work is deeply personal and rooted in healing, culture, and community.

To be seen for creating safe spaces where our voices, stories, and struggles can be expressed through hip-hop and mental wellness means everything. This is bigger than me—this is for the youth, the culture, and the city we love.

Chicago, we’re just getting started. 🖤🎤

The world will always have something to say.
Doubt. Opinions. Expectations.

But healing starts when you silence the noise and listen to your own truth.

Peace is a discipline.
Self-awareness is power.

🥁✨ Did you know?
Across many Indigenous cultures, rhythm and drumming have long been used for community connection, grounding, and emotional expression. Today, Western wellness and mental health spaces also recognize rhythm-based practices as supportive tools for mindfulness, regulation, and self-awareness.

At MHMHH (Mental Health Meets Hip-Hop), we honor both—ancestral wisdom and modern techniques—using rhythm as a creative, cultural, and community-based practice, not treatment or diagnosis.

We believe healing can live at the intersection of culture, creativity, and care.

Healing. Culture. Community. 🖤🥁
