Progress will always beat perfection.
Some days you’re disciplined.
Some days you’re just doing your best to get through the day.

Both count.

Give yourself grace in the process.
You’re allowed to be a work in progress.

Imperfections don’t disqualify you from your calling.

It’s okay to have a slow start—as long as you finish the race.

Save this for the days you forget.

2016 → 2026.

This didn’t happen overnight.

I walked away from things I loved.
I rebuilt my body before I rebuilt my résumé.
I faced fears I avoided for years.
I grieved while trying to survive law school.
I almost failed out.
I failed the bar.
I moved across the county and started over.

No matter what came my way, I kept going.

This journey taught me that progress isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it looks like discipline.
Sometimes it looks like patience.
Sometimes it looks like getting back up quietly and doing the work again.

A lot can happen in ten years.

If you’re in the middle of it — don’t rush the process.
What you’re building takes time.

Save this.
Your breakthrough might be closer than you think.

Every new season starts with alignment. →

Back to business.💼

Started the year with a weekend trip to Chicago.🌃
This wasn’t about enjoyment — it was about alignment.

Last year, we laid the foundation.
This year, we build something real.

Last year taught me it only takes one win to change the trajectory of your life.
This year, I’m expanding that truth even further.

This year is about legacy.
Building the life God placed on my heart.

There are things He showed me that I haven’t seen yet.
There’s still greater work to do.

Follow along.

You don’t lack power.
You haven’t tapped into the source.

Before Pentecost, the disciples withdrew to the upper room.
They prayed.
They prepared.
They waited.

Sometimes you have to isolate to elevate.
There is power in prayer—and power is given to those prepared to receive it.

If you’re feeling tired or stuck, it’s not because you’re weak.
It’s because you haven’t returned to the source.

Save this.
Come back to it when you need clarity.

CUSH CHRONICLES — Chapter One: The Secret Place

This is the start of a new series.

Cush Chronicles is where we explore leadership, professional growth, and personal development—
rooted in biblical principles and told through digital storytelling.

In Chapter One, The Secret Place, we revisit the Day of Pentecost.
The upper room.
Where Peter and the disciples withdrew, prayed, and waited—
until they received power from the Most High. (Acts 1–2)

This is a lesson on preparation and the power of prayer.

Sometimes you have to isolate to elevate.
Weakness isn’t a sign to quit—
it’s an invitation to greater anointing.

This series is for dreamers.
For those looking for something rooted in truth.
Whether you’re a student, a young professional, a high performer—or anywhere in between.

By applying these Kingdom principles,
we’re not just learning—we’re declaring transformation over our lives.

2025 taught me a lot.📝

These are 7 principles I lived by—faith first, becoming my authentic self, facing fear, prioritizing my health, stewarding what I’ve been given, leading through service, and actually enjoying life along the way.

None of it was perfect, but it was intentional.

Growth came from daily choices, discipline, and trusting the process.

If any of this resonated with you, like this post, save it for later, and share it with someone who needs it. Follow along for more on faith, growth, discipline, and life.

I just completed my first 5K. 🏃🏽‍♂️🏅🙌🏾

Yesterday, I crossed a finish line I never thought I would. I’m still riding the high.🏁

This race wasn’t about getting in better shape, running a fast time, or earning a medal. It was about facing fear.

Over the years, I’ve lost over 130 pounds, graduated from law school, and passed the bar. Yet I still felt trapped by limiting beliefs.

I avoided running my entire life. I told myself I wasn’t “a runner.”

But that belief was rooted in fear. It was avoiding discomfort. And that was something I had to confront.

So I committed to running—not just to train my body, but to strengthen my mindset and practice doing hard things.

And yes, I finished the race. I even set a PR: 28:35. 🙌🏾🤯😤

But the real reward was the journey. I now know, with absolute certainty, that I can accomplish anything through the power God has given me in Christ. 👑 Amen.

Here’s to doing hard things.
Here’s to embracing challenges.
Here’s to overcoming fear.

There’s a whole new life on the other side of the finish line.✨

The only way to get there is to keep putting one foot in front of the other.🪖🦶🏾💪🏾

See you on the other side.🤝🏾

The greatest gift I ever gave myself.🎁🌲

Behind every great transformation is an even greater story. I didn’t become the man you see today overnight. This took years of intentional self-improvement.

There was a time when I was just a kid with a dream of becoming a lawyer. But along the way, I realized I lacked the discipline, structure, and work ethic to bring that dream to reality.

So I made a decision.
I restructured my life.
I changed my habits.
I made a 180° turnaround.

Now my life looks completely different. My health is better. My mindset is sharper. And every day, I’m striving to live at my full potential.

The takeaway?

It only takes one decision to change your life forever.

Decide today.
