When Isaiah was referred to our employment program he was ready for a change but unsure where to begin. 💼 After facing mental health challenges that made previous jobs difficult to maintain, finding work on his own felt overwhelming. With support from our employment specialist, Isaiah began exploring new opportunities and within three months, he reached a milestone that brought renewed confidence and stability to his life. 💜

Learn basic computer skills for job searching and applying!

Join us for in-person computer classes, in partnership with Access Living, this spring at Central West Community Center (2102 W. Ogden Ave.) Classes will be in person every Wednesday from 10AM-12PM for 5 weeks, starting April 9.

When you start the class, you will receive a free laptop you can use for job searching or work. You may also qualify for an internet hot spot with proof of Medicaid or SSI enrollment.

To sign up, email mopdcareercenter@cityofchicago.org or call 312-746-5773 (and press 3). You can also sign up in person at 2102 W. Ogden Avenue on March 26 or April 2 from 10AM-12PM.

ASL interpreters will be at the My CHI. My Future. Teen Bash on Saturday, March 28 from 12-4PM at Navy Pier. Esteban Amaro and Walter Mathews will be the interpreters at this event.
We are proud to provide ASL interpreters at City events for Deaf and hard of hearing people in Chicago through our Communication Access Team.
