The role would have an individual start within our shop located in Bridgeview, IL to be trained and eventually continue training in the field handling service of aquatic systems within residential and commercial settings. We had an amazing time laughing, learning, and growing while attending the FACLP conference in Florida. While we’ve been quiet for awhile we have been building up a lot below the surface!

Be sure to stay tuned for more great news and progress! Both Cara and Nicole had an amazing presentation on how MAT is being utilized within areas at Inova Children’s Hospital. We plan on sharing all we have learned from their presentation through the next coming weeks! ☀️ 💙🐠

We love supporting the child life team with our mobile programs at Advocate and we love even more to hear all the amazing things they are doing for kids during difficult hospital stays!

After a traumatic event, three siblings were admitted to Advocate Children’s Hospital for care. Due to the circumstances of the situation – and while awaiting their COVID-19 test results – the children were placed in separate rooms and family was unable to visit. The Child Life Specialists pictured here, Marlee, Beth and Kerry, began to brainstorm how to best support these patients during this difficult time. Because the children couldn’t be together physically just yet, they decided to set up a Zoom call for the siblings.

When it came time for the video meeting, each of the three Child Life Specialists took an iPad to the rooms to help facilitate. The call was just what the kids needed. Over video, the children were able to express themselves emotionally and better process their experience, together.
