Not everyone deserves the same level of access to your heart.
That's not coldness or judgment. It's discernment. It's wisdom.
Healthy relationships feel supportive, respectful, and safe. They don't require constant vigilance. They don't leave you emotionally depleted or questioning your worth.
Discernment means choosing connection thoughtfully instead of automatically. It means recognizing who supports your healing and who undermines it—even unintentionally.
Healing teaches us that not all relationships are meant to be close. Some people belong in your life at a distance. Some people don't belong in your life at all.
And that's okay.
You're allowed to protect your heart while it heals. You're allowed to choose who gets access to the parts of you that are still tender.
That's not being guarded. That's being wise.
💬 Save this if you needed permission to choose differently.
