I think every season of life has one moment that quietly redirects your entire path.

For me, it happened in my early 40s when I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize how I felt anymore..tired, inflamed, short-tempered, bloated, and doing everything “right”… but nothing was working.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but that was the moment the old way stopped working.

Before that, I kept trying to out-discipline myself.
Eat less.
Work out harder.
Cut carbs.
Push through exhaustion like it was a personality trait.
Because everyone around me said that’s just “how your 40s feel.”

But that moment made me stop and ask:
What if my body isn’t broken? What if it just needs something different now?

That one question changed everything.
Now I fuel my body instead of fighting it.

I lift to get stronger instead of smaller.
I sleep more, walk more, breathe more.

And I honor what my hormones, energy, and nervous system are actually asking for, not what diet culture trained me to do.

The shift?
I feel clearer.
Calmer.
More confident.
More like me..maybe for the first time.

Cue Usher… it’s confession time 🎤✨

• Confession #1: I used to wake up already anxious, heart racing, mind spinning and I’d snap at my kids or my husband before I even knew what was happening. The guilt would sit with me all day.

• Confession #2: I honestly thought that was just “my new normal” in my 40s… the wired-but-exhausted, puffy, overwhelmed feeling. I tried all the usual fixes more coffee, more workouts, less food and it only made me more stressed.

• Confession #3: What actually helped? Supporting my body instead of fighting it. For me that looked like protein first, managing my stress response, and yes… adding in peptides like Calm and Restored. I didn’t expect them to make such a difference, but my anxiety eased, my patience came back, and I finally felt steady again.

Leftover Thanksgiving Sliders

Preheat oven to 350°

1 - Slice Hawaiian Bread and place bottom in a pan

2 - Spread turkey on rolls

3 - Add cranberry sauce

4 - Top with swiss or provolone

5 - Put top of bread on

6 - In a bowl - Melt 2.5 tbsp butter, mix in garlic, 1.5 tsp worchestershire sauce, 1 tsp dijon mustard

7 - Spread butter mixture on top

8 - Cover with foil and bake for 12 min at 350°

9 - Take foil off and bake for another 10-12 min

10 - ENJOY 🤤
