CCST graduate shares: “A question I get asked a lot, and to be honest words are quite limiting when trying to explain how this beautiful treatment works…. But I am going to try anyway….

I could go in to quantum physics, or anatomy, or how the nervous system functions… But don’t worry I wont 😅 (stay with me here)….

I want to explain craniosacral therapy from my personal perspective, from a heart centered space ❤️…

As a practitioner, as I gently lay my hands on you during your treatment, I am attuning to you….. Like a radio dial tunes in to a certain radio station frequency, my dial is tuning in to your entire being… Every aspect of you that your being is ready to show me, I will pick up on and hold space for…

I may be feeling your physical aches and pains, points of tension in your body, your emotional state, your nervous system, your overall flow of energy, where you may feel blocked, where your energy feels free and expressive….

Your body will be speaking a thousand words, and I will be listening, deeply.

As I am present with and consciously acknowledge what I am feeling in your body and in your being, I notice changes… Ah something just released, something just opened up, oh and something just relaxed, something needs a bit more space and something is drawing me in a bit closer….

As we go deeper in to the session we often go deeper in to your being, we work through more layers and stuff you have been carrying around with you for years may begin to show itself…

And this whole entire time, I am doing very little but holding space for all of this expression of yours, by simply being deeply present with you, without judgement, without an agenda, without trying to change you….

And this is what initiates your healing… This is what allows your body to find its way back to regulation, back to calm, back to feeling grounded, back to a deeper connection with yourself…. Everything feels a bit more open, a bit lighter and you may feel like something big has shifted but you can’t quite articulate it…

& then I thank your being, for allowing me to witness you whilst you heal yourself 🫶🏼”

Post with appreciation to 🙏🏼

A wonderful statement in support of Craniosacral Therapy by HRH King Charles, given to our 3rd Breath of Life Conference in London in 2005. Here is his full statement:
"I am delighted to support this third Breath of Life Conference on approaches to holistic health. As many of you will know, I have for many years been pursuing a vision of a truly integrated healthcare system in the UK, one which brings together the best of conventional, complementary and alternative approaches. As part of this whole person approach, I am particularly keen to see a more holistic and spiritual dimension brought into mainstream healthcare.
Through the work of my Foundation for Integrated Health, we have made great strides in making complementary and alternative medicine more acceptable and available to the general public, but I am well aware that there still is a long way to go before we achieve a properly regulated system in this country.
There is no doubt that work such as yours is vital to the health and well-being of our society which is, now more than ever, so desperately in need of mental, physical and spiritual sustenance. I am convinced that your work with babies and young children, in particular, is crucial in helping to avoid the suffering of future generations by healing imbalances so early in the young lives of individuals.
I was heartened to hear that the Craniosacral Therapy community has embraced the drive towards self-regulation of the profession, with the help and support of my Foundation – a necessity if complementary therapies such as yours are to be taken seriously in the future. I have also noted the progress of the Cranial Forum, over the last few years, as it has moved towards creating a strong and cohesive group that will act as a single regulatory body for this invaluable work.
I wish you every success with this conference, and I hope that it will provide a valuable and fruitful forum for discussion and education for you all in your various professions within the healing arts."
