Sick season is upon us and while we cannot prevent getting sick there are things we can do to help support our immune system. Getting outside is my number one tip for this. Why?

-Many plants put substances, including organic compounds called phytoncides, into the air that seem to support immune function.
-Sunlight energizes special cells in your immune system called T cells that help fight infection.
-Being outside can also help you increase your vitamin D level, which is important for your bones, blood cells, and immune system.

The list is endless honestly. In our house we try to get 20 minutes of morning sunlight daily, grounding everyday along with family walks! It is not always easy and we do not always get it done but focusing on progress not perfection 🌱

I have been working with Lauren for years focusing on hormonal issues and PCOS. We were not sure what to expect when she started a new medication however it was the kickstart she needed to put her plans in motion.

Here is more of her testimony "After a really high A1c and being prescribed Mounjaro by my doctor this year I knew that it was imperative that I get my health in order. Food finally became secondary to me, my food noise was gone and I could finally concentrate on proper nutrition. I knew I wanted to set myself up for success as best as I could so having a nutrition plan along with working out and moving my body was key. Holistic Haven worked well with my plan because I was already on a journey to heal my hormones."

I haven't been as active lately on here as I should be per the social media professionals. But honestly thats life; I have been working more, my husband has been working more, we have two kids, we have sports (iykyk)

Its a season of ebbs and flows for us but I am forever grateful to everybody that keeps supporting me and my business. Ya'll are the best ❤️

Downshift. Take it out of high gear and just breathe for a second.

There’s no such thing as coincidence, so it’s no mistake that as our world has become even faster paced, more and more people deal with anxiety, depression, stress induced auto-immune disorders, and are just plain old unhappy. Listen, I love the hustle and I am all about getting the ish done, but I am NOT a fan of the constant chaos and striving that is so popular right now. All it does is leave people unsatisfied with what they have, in a bad mood, and SICK.

All the chaos in your brain affects your entire body. It’s cool to want more, to want better, to demand more of yourself, but not at the cost of LIVING! I have to force myself to take a few minutes to just BREATHE everyday.

You want to feel better, you take time to slow down, to breathe, and to be still.

We have so many new followers and a lot of questions on what a I do!

I'm a holistic nutritionist and owner of Holistic Haven LLC.

But what is a holistic nutritionist; I am a specialized nutritionist that helps heal patients with food either instead of conventional medicine or hand in hand with conventional medicine. We work with the whole body (mind, body and soul) instead of just treating isolated symptoms.

I basically help heal certain diseases or conditions with food. I have patients from lifestyle, to high cholesterol, marathon runners to post-partum moms and everything in between.

I'm constantly taking more classes and learning about our ever changing environment and how it effects not only our bodies but our spirit too. I take on a handful of new clients every month and continue to grow 🌱
