Our mission is to acknowledge, address, and neutralize the mental and emotional damage borne by minority children in low-income areas. It is increasingly understood that this damage—stemming from nutritional, environmental, biological, and social sources—is a causal factor in the seemingly senseless violence seen in urban communities. To that end, we have put together a comprehensive program to tr
eat this trauma, using a combination of plant-based “nutritional neuropsychology”, restorative justice, esteem building, wellness education, mindfulness (mediation/consciousness training), sustainability, and psychological support. This unique union of methods is based upon the biosocial model of anti-social behavior, cognitive dysfunction, and emotional injury, and will serve to provide social-emotional healing, violence prevention, intellectual improvement, and alternative psychological therapy.
