The bullet that is health disparities aims at all and it is our goal to provide support for all to receive the services they deserve. So, until the disparities faced by communities with unfair access to appropriate primary and mental health services ends, we vow to be a leader in bringing health equality and resources to the disenfranchised by breathing education and prevention services in our communities, thus creating a clear path for a more unified, stronger and healthier future.

It’s Volunteer Week and we’re trying to make a difference in our community.

We’ve done a lot of work over the last week with hosting a week long food drive, food and COVID kit packing event, and tomorrow is the last day with food delivery. Did you know that Black History Month also known as African-American History month started off as a week? Created in 1926 by historian Carter G. Woodson as “Negro History Week”, it was a week celebration that coincided with Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday Feb 12th and ended with Fredrick Douglas Birthday Feb 20t, these two birthdays were often celebrated together by black communities. The week celebration would begin the process of recognizing and remembering the importance of the History of Blacks/ African American and blacks from all over the world, recording and honoring their accomplishments. It wasn’t until 1970 on the campus of Kent State University that black History Month was celebrated in its full capacity. Campus celebration lasted for more than a month starting on Jan 3. and ending Feb 28.

In celebration of the week that kicked off what we now know as Black History Month, we present to you our Life 4 All Inc. Black History Zine Issue 5. There was no way of knowing at the end of 2019 what was in store for 2020. What started off as new commitments and resolutions turned into a hurricane storm of COVID-19, surge in health disparities, systematic racism reaching a boiling point, and that’s not even 1/3 of what we faced in 2020.

Yet in the midst of it all we survived and we adjusted. During 2020 Life 4 All gave out more than 5,000 pieces of PPE equipment, created our first Takedown Campaign focusing on Mental Health Awareness, created the Minority Mental Health Resources Guide, took part in Trans Awareness and observance with our "We Speak" videos, and created 4 amazing Zine Magazines.

We want to thank EVERYONE who supported Life 4 All Inc. in 2020 and hope that you continue to ride with us, grow with us, because we have even more in store for 2021!

At Life 4 All Inc. we are on a mission to keep you as safe as possible. More than 4,900 pieces of PEP Equipment have been given out and more than 800 COVID Care Kits have been packaged and given out to the hardest hit communities.
