Because no one taught us how to be a therapist during a worldwide pandemic. During sky high inflation costs. During daily and weekly mass shootings. During a time when police are more scared of unarmed Black people and not the white terrorist shooting innocent people. During a time where kids are more stressed and anxious as ever. During a time where so many people feel lost and are searching for safe places to be seen, heard and validated. During a time where all of us are simultaneously dealing with the same stuff as our clients. This is a great remember that we are human first and therapist second. It’s also ok for us to not be ok 💚
