Gentle Mentals Shining a playful light on mental illness to soften its stigma. 1 in 5 adults in America experience a mental illness. And we seriously want to help.

Our mission:

—To shine a playful light on mental illness to soften its stigma.
—To make someone smile and say, "Hey, that's me!"
—To make it less scary and easier to talk about.
—To help create a kinder and gentler view of mental health for ourselves and others. Whether you or someone you love has been affected by mental illness, we hope these lovable creatures, with real-life conditions can help. By playfully opening up the conversation about mental illness, we can nudge ourselves towards a path to heal. While we take on a playful approach to address this topic, we know it's a serious one. That's why with every purchase from our GM shop, we will donate a portion of proceeds to support mental health charities such as NAMI and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

😱We got invited back to the United Nations!! This time in NY to give a few words on Gentle Mentals how it came to be and why it’s so important to normalize the topic of mental health! Thank you Lampa Film fest for putting this together. Still in disbelief, but so glad this project has struck a nerve. Open to collaborations—let’s keep the conversation going.❤️

this week, Illinois House Majority Leader Greg Harris stopped by Sip of Hope to hand deliver Hope For The Day’s National Su***de Prevention + Action Month Proclamation that was recently signed by Governor JB Pritzker and adopted by the State of Illinois. We are honored to have the support of the state and look forward to working to build stronger mental health services to serve our communities.
