Collect all the seeds you want.

If you never plant them you’ll reap nothing.

It’s 2025 people. Everything AND I mean everything is free, online, and at your disposal in seconds.

And yet we still struggle.

It’s not about information so much as it is about implementation.

I bet you knew an apple was a better choice than a donut.

Quinoa better than French fries.

Lean cuts of meat versus brisket.

Don’t jump into some meal plan or training split right out of the gates. It’ll work until life gets real and then it’s just another attempt that didn’t work.

Here’s the exact starting point with every client I work with:

- initial 30 minute call to learn everything about them. I need to know their life, their pain, their strengths, and where they want to go.
- We need daily journaling and reporting
- I am in daily contact making real time tweaks, suggestions, and maneuvers to truly shift their identity around their lifestyle. (We’re changing environment and that helps to change behavior)

Keeping track of your steps
And….. body weight

As of 6 months ago we changed our approach from weekly to daily weigh-ins at Reveal. Why?

Because as Kasey Jo Orvidas, Ph.D. And even Layne Norton have shown in the past year, the data seems to support better overall results for most people.

Assuming you’re trying to lose weight, maintain weight or even prevent weight regain.

In the last 6 months of making this change it has been quite a positive one. I have SO MUCH MORE data each month to show clients. The graphs are more clear and the patterns are much easier to display to the client.

It’s much more motivating to a client who is 6 weeks in, 5lbs down and frustrated that it isn’t going faster. I now have 42 data points versus 6 data points and that in itself blows their mind how far they’ve come when they see that beautiful graph moving south.

Of course it isn’t for everyone and there have been some clients where it gets frustrating having to do it every day. This is where we back it down to weekly self monitoring versus daily. We make changes fast, but we stay honest and loyal to self monitoring.

November 4th we started at 154.8

Today we’re at 131

This is the first time in YEARS she’s approaching and about to conquer the 120’s.

Not because that number represents her feeling fulfilled or a better human.
It’s because this entire routine we’ve put together of eating healthier and taking care of herself has created a pretty amazing byproduct. We’re not focused on the scale we’re focused on the entire system.

She says this doesn’t feel like a diet at all and that she feels very comfortable and excited to get into the 120’s.

Just about 24lbs in 6 months. That’s around 4lbs per month.

Remeber that saying “small changes = big results”

You can helicopter to the top of the mountain, but you don’t get to say you climbed it. You miss out on the satisfaction and fulfillment that come from navigating the messy ascent. The mountain is a metaphor. It’s true for everything.”

I can’t empathize this line enough:

“A skill you build one repetition, one mistake, one correction at a time.”

You will need to address stress/emotional eating behaviors at some point.
You will need to execute workouts and steps within your life at some point.

You need someone who understands why the last 10 plans didn’t work.
Accountability IS the 🥷most don’t see coming that helps them actually ascend the mountain and experience the satisfaction and fulfillment.

I’m having more and more conversations with new clients who have had some success with trying medications and even tracking macros….

But it only worked up to a certain point.

They’re still struggling for those last 15-20lbs. They don’t want to be dependent on shots and they don’t want to have to track their every morsel for the rest of their life.

There has to be a basic understanding of energy expenditure for a person to acquire, practice, and master the skills.

And then….you bring that mastery into your unique life and then and only then will you gain the confidence that this is all possible.

Want to all but guarantee you’ll be successful and cut off months or years of frustration and plateaus? Get a coach and join a community.

It holds you accountable when you’re not riding a high.
It supports you through the low valleys.
