Let’s talk about it!

🧡Combing and brushing hair isn’t just hygiene—it’s a sensory-rich experience, often rooted in cultural identity. For some, it’s soothing. For others, it’s overwhelming. Behavior support plans should address this, not avoid it.

🧡Praise and worship during church services in many communities is high-energy and deeply emotional. Having a sensory space available for individuals during services can ensure they still participate in this powerful part of family life—without becoming dysregulated.

🧡 And don’t forget about parent coaching. In many homes, parenting is multi-generational. Grandma, aunties, older siblings—everyone plays a role. Our coaching models should reflect that dynamic, not just focus on “the primary caregiver.”

Let’s continue building services that celebrate culture, promote dignity, and truly meet families where they are!
