Meet Kim Lalley -- a shining member of our 105Family. Here’s her story. 💛
"105F is my happy place. Every time I walk out of the studio, I swear I’m floating. I used to be a total Bikram purist -- 90 minutes or nothing. Variety? Hard pass. But that changed last October when a friend invited me to a 105F sound meditation. Everyone was so welcoming, and the experience was downright cosmic. I basically went to outer space and came back a changed human.
I signed up for the two-week trial the next day and never looked back. Having four studios to choose from felt like winning the yoga lottery, and pretty quickly I realized how amazing all the classes are. Now I get everything I could ever want right at my South Loop studio. I try to hit at least 16 classes a month -- and since last October, I’ve somehow racked up 223 classes!
Don’t get me wrong, the Original Hot Yoga 90 will always have my heart, but now I’m obsessed with the OHY 60, Hot Pilates Plus, Vinyasa, and of course Yin -- 105F’s Yin is next level dreamy. I became a certified Bikram teacher in 2008 and spent years practicing and teaching around the world. I literally used to choose where to live (and vacation!) based on the closest Bikram studio. Now? I’ve got 105F, and I’m not going anywhere.
The community here is magic. It’s better than Cheers -- everyone knows your name. I’m greeted with warmth every single time, and every instructor brings their own spark, style, and inspiration. The energy is always buzzing, supportive, and so positive.
I truly can’t imagine my life without 105F. I’ve shared it with friends and family, and it feels incredible to get a killer workout while connecting with people who just get it. I’ve found my yoga home, and I’m wildly grateful. And I’m counting down the days until my first 105F retreat next summer -- an eight-day wellness cruise through Croatia! I already know it’s going to be next level.
When I’m not sweating it out on my mat, you’ll probably find me 35,000 feet in the air, volunteering with rabbits and guinea pigs at Anti-Cruelty, practicing piano, or hanging at home in the South Loop with my rescued cat and rabbit."
