I’m so excited for my Pregnancy & Postpartum Pelvic Balance (PRI-Inspired Class)

Find your balance, breathe with ease, and restore your foundation.

This weekly class is designed for pregnant and postpartum individuals who want to move, feel, and breathe better through every stage of pregnancy and recovery.

Using principles from the Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI), this class focuses on restoring balance through the pelvis, ribcage, and diaphragm to support optimal posture, breathing mechanics, and movement patterns.

Looking forward to creating community while supporting our bodies and nervous systems through this journey of motherhood.

Thank you Chico! I am honestly so grateful for the support of this community.

I have been in personal training here for 10 years now. I have worked with large groups, small groups, nutrition, posture.

My focus is pain management with an emphasis on posture to improve performance.

I use Postural Restoration Institute techniques to address the root causes of dysfunction & pain and then work to strengthen you to perform at your best.

I am passionate abut working with motivated individuals vision for movement in your life.

Personal training and posture specifically is something I fell into by coincidence (or was it?) Either way, it wasn’t planned by me but I was invigorated by the environment and learning about the body and posture.

When it came to helping people build muscle, lose weight, make lifestyle changes, have fun, create a safe space for movement, build community and confidence it all came so naturally.

But when it came to eliminating pain long term I kept running into a wall…until I was exposed to PRI Postural Restoration Institute

Then my mind exploded and I used it as a powerful tool with my small group clients as warm ups and cool downs and to eliminate nagging issues like piriformis syndrome, IT band pain, and tight low backs necks hips.

Thanks to my trusting clients they helped me build the confidence to apply the things I was learning and helped them make big changes in their body in the process.

From there, I started experimenting with larger group class settings and morphed our 30 min Posture class into a PRI class with balloons balls and breathing exercises. Which was a LOT of work up front but people got the lingo and positions down and we continued to build on that week to week and it was magical!

I miss that group class and the healing and community that happened within that setting.

I would love to offer a live group class that focuses on posture, PRI, and building resilience and adaptability in the body.

Would you be interested in that class?

Today is World Mental Health Day .

In July I had a traumatic experience professionally that affected me personally

After spending about 3 weeks afterwards in bed processing my feelings, my loss, my disappointment, my deep sadness and a lot of tears followed by a lot of SUITS episodes (thank god for all the seasons!)

I am not a sad person. I am not someone who likes people feeling sorry for me. I’m not comfortable feeling the way I was feeling but also knew I needed to pause for a moment.

I am also someone who usually works hard and that leads to accomplishing what I set my mind to.

But I didn’t get it this time.

I not only didn’t get it, the way it was handled was even more devastating to me than the outcome.

I have had time now to sit in my feelings.

To recognize that how I was treated was not ok.
To validate my emotions.
Now I am finding my way forward.

I have not completely processed that trauma but I think I am moving forward while being kind and compassionate gentle towards myself.

It is ok to not be ok and I wanted to share with everyone how being vulnerable with myself is helping me move on confidently in the direction this life shift has taken me towards.

I trust that everything, as always will be ok.

If you’re having a hard time or can relate drop a 💜 in the comments.

You’re not alone. We all have rough spots.

😱 “My neuropathy is nearly resolved”

Great to catch up with a client after we both were trekking around Europe. Love to hear his body was adaptable enough to handle an 18 day trip only 5 months after a hip replacement.

Another great observation was that the wear on the tread of the shoes was even when in the old shoes they were significantly different. The new shoe was the Brooks Glycerin and the old one was the Brooks Glycerin Max - same-ish shoe but huge difference in how body responded.

This is after having new shoes with some additional foam references in them for about 8-10 weeks. Prior to his trip we did a shoe fitting, focused on 1-2 repositioning exercises for 3 weeks together then he was off! (I’m guessing he didn’t do any of his PRI on his trip but found some inhibition with the Dolomites 🏔️ 🇮🇹 and German beer🍺 🇩🇪. 😜)

After about 2 weeks he noticed feeling returning to his toes and a bit of his forefoot. But to hear that even with travel and not seeing each other for a month the positive shift in his body is still progressing in a positive direction.

This is after having neuropathy in his feet for the past several years and wearing shoes that were actually perpetuating his body position to create it.

To be clear this client is not doing 20 minutes of exercises everyday or seeing me 5x a week. He doesn’t go above and beyond in any way.

He simply lives his life and tunes up his body with 1-2 exercises and has made some mindful adjustments to his daily habits.

⛷️Next goal: Skiing this winter!

LFG Age is just a number.

73 never kicked more ASS!!

Like so many of my clients, he is an inspiration to me to live the life you want and taking action to feel as good as you want to feel in your body so you can live life to its fullest!

What is stopping you from living your life to its fullest?
